There's no question, Sergio's the greatest striker we have had at city and I've seen a few good ones along the way..
Look were all concerned about his injuries, every time he steps on the pitch, every time he goes down after a tackle, our first thoughts are "shit".. How many times have we said " not again"..
I only ask the question.. Do you think our owners will put up with another injury hit season ? I hope I'm just being paranoid.. !!!
No need to apologise Karen, I'm all things blue, I hate them red bastards as much as anyone.. So have no worries about me...
I can vouch for this bloke and he's definitely a blue. I don't know him personally but my mates do . He used to post on the old MEN site (as I did) , for years. He seems a thoroughly decent chap.

Re: Sergio Aguero

Unless we could immediately replace him with Messi, Ronaldo or Falcao, then no I wouldn't sell him even if he had both of his legs amputated. In all seriousness though, his reoccurring injuries are a bit of a worry, we managed to win the league and league cup with him missing a good chunk of games, just imagine the extra level we might find if he's fit for every game, as someone else has mentioned, he'd be hitting the Messi goal territory. Until there was a ready made replacement, that was realistically viable, selling Sergio would be an absolute disaster, even having him available for half a season, he would do more damage than most strikers.

Re: Sergio Aguero

It feels strange to even think this, but even if he did little other than CL and top 6 PL matches, he'd probably still be worth keeping.

Of course I'm exaggerating a little, and the club would certainly look to replace sooner rather than later if that was all we could play him, but I'm sure its true.

Re: Sergio Aguero

Bit random and may have been answered else where but I can't seem to see it....

Anyone know why Sergio is wearing number 20 for Argentina instead of his preferred 16?

Rojo is wearing number 16 and I would imagine Sergio would have pulled rank over him?

Re: Sergio Aguero

His fitness needs managing much more carefully. He tries to comeback from his injures too soon (as he did in the WC) only to lead him to break down again. Do not rush him back. Needs a proper rest and then eased through pre-season in order to get him hopefully back fully fit by the end of September. If we don't see him back for the first 6 PL games it would not worry me unduly.

He originally picked 16 as he was selected for the Argentina Olympic squad and there were a few squad numbers left, he opted for 16 because it was the date his wife was born on. Obviously now it has no sentimental value to him following their divorce so he has chosen a different number.

No place for those types on here; dick splashs, faux upper middle class, working class champions and aging socialists are the order of the day.
