Re: Sergio Aguero

he'll be looked after properly to return for the Arsenal home game and Chelsea away game.

Could see a half at Everton for warm up if we're lucky! come on sergio, into the oxygen tent lad.

Re: Sergio Aguero

Return for Chelsea would be perfect, not desperate for Arsenal the way injuries have decimated them.

At least Edin and Jovetic will get confidence boosts from the likes of Burnley, Leicester & West Brom.

4-6 weeks is still a lot less than the 6 months some people were predicting...

6 weeks takes it to either Arsenal or Chelsea... couple of big games to aim to get him back for...

6 weeks would have him back well in time for Chelsea (7 1/2 weeks away) but touch-and-go for Arsenal. If that's the absolute worst case scenario, it's not too bad. We just really need Dzeko to find his scoring boots and Jovetic to score a few.
Arsenal; pfft. Stoke put three past them in a half playing the likes of Crouch and Walters up front. Edin and Jojo should be able to bag a goal or three against them.

If you re watch the injury when the physio and doc came on the first thing they did was test his Cruciate ligaments with the anterior and posterior drawer test.

This has a fixed end point and there didnt appear to be any laxity. There is no way he would have been permitted to walk. They then did a quick McMurrays to rule out a meniscus injury - given the fact that sergio could also fully extend his knee and stand further rules this out.

I'm thinking medial collateral ligament.

We will soon see I guess.

City just tweeted...
"PELLEGRINI ON AGUERO [UPDATED]: "He will be out for 4 to 6 weeks. His recovery will depend. But our team does not depend on one player"

I guess the checkbook will remain closed in January then .....

I think it depends on the result tomorrow, if we lose I can't see anyone coming in; if we win, I loan player could help seeing as Jovetic is made of glass.

You and burtonblue know your stuff.

Re: Sergio Aguero

Pellegrini has told Geoff Shreeves it could even be 8 weeks. It's all very dependant on how Aguero reacts to treatment.

We need to make sure he is fully right before he returns otherwise we'll end up in the same situation as we did for the 2nd half of last season where he kept picking up strains.

Not a fan of the fact he won't get a summer break again this year with the Copa America being played.

Stop the ride, I want to get off
Sergio Aguero could be missing for longer than first thought
Aguero's injury is reported to be similar to the one David Silva recently suffered
City could have up to six players missing against Roma, although Fernandinho, Stevan Jovetic, Silva and, importantly, skipper Vincent Kompany could be back.

And the earth could be struck by an asteroid, there could be a nuclear war, we could all die of Ebola and The Independent could be a good newspaper.
