To be fair he has been playing top level football for a very long time, he's been a first team regular since he was 17 so I really wouldn't be surprised if he breaks down entirely before 30

He needs dropping. We keep playing him hoping he will play his way into form and it just isn't happening. He needs some time off to get his head right and work hard in training.

Why make excuses for him?

He's been garbage all season, an utter liability and needs to buck his ideas up sharpish. As one of our so called 'world class' players, his standard of performances this season is unacceptable.
