Re: Jovetic
Jovetic isn't a direct replacement for negredo or tevez as they are different types of players - he clearly isn't a 'striker' as they were. However, he typically plays as one of the front 2 i.e. behind the striker but more advanced than any other player. If tevez and negredo were still at the club and jovetic played, it would be instead of one of those 2.
Anyway, regardless of where he plays, he isn't good enough at the moment. He may be in the future but at the moment he is far too sloppy in giving the ball away too often and is wasteful with opportunities to score as he too often fails to pick out a blue shirt.

What, the truth?
Amongst other things, a lack of understanding. Alf & the golfer have played most of their career as a 9.
Prior to coming to us, Jovetic had played the cast majority of his career as an AM, usually wide left, with a license to roam. Anyone who thought he was a 9 when we signed him knew nothing about the lad. We signed him after missing out on Hazaard to fill a similar role.
Aguero was signed to replace Tevez, albeit his exit took longer than expected. Negrado's and Jovetic arrived at roughly the same time , so one could hardly be seen as a replacement for the other.
So tell me, what part of the post I was responding to was 'the truth' ?
