I don't want to see Sergio, Vince or Silva in the 18 on Weds.

Before this past week,neither did I mate.

we've got two big games coming up. Rags and CSKA. To play starters in a league cup game doesnt bear thinking off.

Willy, Sagna, Demi, Boyator/Nasty, Clichy,Fernandinho, Miilner, navas, Pozo, Jovetic, Dzeko

with Fernando and if lampard is available to come in to replace Milner and dinho (would need both of them for the next two games) and Jovetic off for sinclair or some other EDS lad. Jovetic only in the team b/c i think he needs laying time

He needs to start v geordies,with Dzeko if the boss wants 2,if i see sergio i will go mad!

I agree with Jovetic and Dzeko starting with Kun on the bench - we need him fully fit for the scum game

When we play the ball tight and one-touch in the last third, most of the team pass directly to the other player, whereas Jovetic habitually passes the ball into the space around the player. Hence, he is prone to conceding possession and, in his frustration, he then starts dribbling or shooting from distance.

I just get the feeling we're going to lose possession as soon as he gets the ball. I just don't see why he is rated so highly on here by people who haven't really seen him do anything for us. I know a lot of it is injuries and form through lack of playing time, but given his fitness record, that's not likely to change. He's got talent but his final third decision making is awful at times. There's zero cutting edge with him.

I'd be starting him and Aguero at every opportunity,they have a similar game,linking well with good movement and industry - I believe they could form a very effective 'partnership' with Aguero slightly in advance.

Like midfield and defence,as best as possible,we need to maintain some consistency with personnel.
Dzeko has certainly had his chance(s) and failed to impress.

Totally agree. Not convinced yet by his fancy flicks . Maybe with an extended run in the team he can build some understanding with the other players. For me he just keeps losing the ball.

I'm not convinced by the fancy flicks but what I do like is his propensity for moving the ball quickly. Yesterday everything was going sideways at a low tempo and the only reason Jovetic's more incisive passes didn't come off was because Dzeko was on his heels all night.

Don't think it helps when he plays alongside Dzeko plus we have no real width, when he drives at the box it's always too congested.

He's trying way too hard atm. Needs to just play his game rather than try something with a tiny percentage of success every time he gets the ball.
