Player topic: Stevan Jovetic (2014/15)

Not worth persisting with, has had his chance and hasn't taken it. Will be sold and rightly so for about half of what we paid for him. Yesterday when we really needed him to step up to the plate he again failed miserably. If he has all this talent and potential you would have thought he could find the net when his team is camped in oppositions half.

Still hasn't had a decent run of games, was linking up well yesterday with Silva and Nasri

played as well as anyone yesterday (baring Silva)...linked up well...great movement, always wanting the ball and he is playing out of position...he isn't an out and out striker like sergio, or dzeko (or bony)...he is a support striker, attacking midfielder if anything.

He is getting some very unfair stick at the moment. You have to remember that due to his dreadful luck with injuries last season this is practically his first season. ....

He isn't a player who can lead the line on his own...sergio can ...dzeko can(not that well however) and I'm guessing bony can....however he could partner any of the others

Should definitely not sell him and persist with him....a class act with a lot of ability who also works hard as well

He is paid to score and assist goals and yesterday, as well as the past 18 months he has struggled to do that.

He is a fantastic technical footballer but doesn't offer the team what is really important and that is goals and assists.

It's the end product that's missing though and that's the bit that really matters.

yep, that clinical finish thats vital at this level.

i don't remember him having a decent chance though yesterday...he had a half chance but the defender did really well and left him very little to aim at.....It was naves that wasted the only clear chance we created.....though my memory could be failing me on this

He is not a striker and he's been playing out of position for the majority of his City career whilst being hampered with injuries......

He still manages a 1 in 3 strike rate though and that's a very decent return for an attacking midfielder.

It compares a lot better than Silva and Nasri's!
