Not really, let's be honest he'll do fuck all, never gonna start or come on as a sub pointless really...even if kompany gets injured mangala/demichelis will replace him same goes with the other two.

Point is boyata is just there for numbers rather than making an impact to the game itself where as jovetic will, if it wasn't for his assists we won't wouldn't be playing barca next week! Feel sorry for kid and should be rightly pissed off

Feel sorry for him, would feel the same for anyone else too. Its a bloody shit situation, only the club is responsible tho, we broke the rules then we signed another foreign player to create this situation.

There is no guarantee that Bony who never played CL will actually play in CL, maybe as an option from bench he has more to his game than Jovetic. Its a short term decision, hardly see much difference in outcome, dont see how we would risk playing two strikers at home to Barca or especially away from home.

Aguero is gonna start, and from bench Bony might get 10-20 minutes unless its Dzeko whois gonna come in.

Jovetic still should fight hard of course, but cant see him getting lots of chances to fight. Even if we go back to 442 formation strictly in league, thats 13 another games.

How much of that 13 league games will Jovetic start? Even if Aguero gets injured, and Dzeko too we sooner go back to 451 formation with Silva behind striker than keep 442 with Jovetic in it.

I dont expect Jovetic to start more than 3 times for us this season. If Aguero/Bony/Dzeko keep being fit than even 3 times might not happen. He clearly will move into 4th striker role. I think he isbetter than that as he can find a CL team where he can be fixed starter.

One of the reason certainly was for himto leave Fiorentina is CL and he saw City as a club with fixed CL games for season to come. He also took on the challenge to fight for his place as he surely knew Aguero, Dzeko are still here and 1st team is guaranteed. Than we signed Negredo as well.

He is a great player but not a fit for us. He could go to Juve, Atletico and maybe he just becomes something huge for them. The potential is there, but he really needs a team or at least the attacking play built around him. We were never ready to do that, also his injuries wouldnt let us to do that.

Just not a good fit for us despite his talent.

Still he had some great moments, especially Bayern home where his touches certainly were needed for us to be in next stage.

Thing is with jovetic he can play anywhere from upfront to wings or CAM and that will also give us more options going forward

Pity Jovetic went crying to press. I understand him moaning about the descision as would any other squadplayer for that matter. Not Just being left out, but the fact that someone new who had no part in qualifying for knock out rounds took his place is hard to take.

I havent changed my view on the matter and would have left out Bony. He will need time to gell (has hardly started training with squad), going to City is already a big step up for him, and he has no CL experience. And he will need to prove yet he's worth what we paid for him.

Time will tell if it was the right decision. And all this because of these stupid fck "fair" play rules.

Now man up Jovetic and prove it was the wrong decision. Be a professional.

The chances are that Jovetic will be injured by the time Barca comes around anyway
With Dzecko out of form, Aguero fragile shall we say and Jovetic out of form and fragile Bony is the only one we can say with any degree of certainly will be fit and firing for that game

No certainty whatsoever mate. And with Barca 9 days away with just one PLgame in between the odds are that all of Joveric, Dzeko and Aguero are fit. A certainty.

Jovetic played the last 20mins in Rome and wasn't seen again for weeks! Would you really be surprised if he was unavailable for one or both legs? Because I wouldn't be

He's just too unreliable to register when we have just bought a striker, who by all accounts, it rarely out injured
