Nothing against them but Spurs/Everton (except Fernando who is championship at best) level players they are at max nothing more, so I don't expect anything more

I hate statements like this, making out like you'd be happy for him to flop just so we can say you were right, give him a chance before you write him off.

Should have been taken off when Clichy went. Clearly hurt himself tackling Fernandinho so he was a passenger from that point onwards.

I'm not convinced he's the man to take us to the next level. He'll definitely score goals in the same way as Dzeko and Balotelli did so he has his value in the squad but is he a player that the very best will fear? Aguero has it. Messi and Suarez have it. Nobody gets better by signing squad players.

Would be ridiculous to make firm judgements based on his brief appearances so far. But when was the last time we made a big first choice signing? We essentially have the same team we had in 11/12. Our transfer policy since that title win has been wasteful in the extreme. Maybe Bony will prove me wrong and make a big difference. Fingers crossed.

Stupid to rate him for his two 20 minutes performances but he should never come on for Dzeko tonight. Dzeko was having a very decent game and you just don't send the man who you just signed and who had like 10 training sessions after coming from long continental tournament into the game of this caliber. He is not Aguero to impress on his debut.

Can't believe some of the wankers on this thread, he's had around an hour in total playing for us, he was very unlucky not too get a goal in the 1st game another day he'd have buried that let be honest, 2nd we were playing BARCA with ten man for most of his contribution to the game FFS give the lad a chance he hasn't even had a start yet and he's only just joined the team and you lot expect him to gel in in ten minutes?

Unbelievable. People comparing him too Benjani after 2 sub appearances just tops it for me. Can't believe some of the things i'm reading on here today.

Not writing him off just don't think he's going to make much of a impact, that's not writing him off, I'd love him to do well but as with Mangala it's a lot of money for not exactly what we want. I'm not expecting any more than a handful of games and then sold on for 1/4 the fee in a year or two. Our transfer policy is showing no signs of changing and it's time to stop blaming the players now and blame the morons that sanction them. We have probably as good talent in our youths than some of the signings last 6/7 windows
Just to be clear I'm not coming to this conclusion from his brief cameos for us but from what I've seen from him since I first seen him, just like the others I mentioned. When we signed Silva, Nasri, Kun, Demi, Clichy whoever etc it was obvious what we were getting. I think our signings for long time are mediocre for stupid prices

So those would be some of the signings that won us a double last season then. Mangala has a 70% win ratio with VK and Bony has 20 mins in a match we are winning 5-0 with our creative players taken off and 20 mins against Barca when we are down to 10 men. Slagging off half our squad is raggish. Look at the Squad of Bayern and Barca. They have some efficient but not outstanding players.

Oh no please don't call me a rag just because I don't change my opinion on what I've always felt about a player as soon as we sign him, if we signed Barkley in the summer for over 15million I'd think we are paying over the odds for a average player that will sit on our bench (again), I won't suddenly proclaim him to be the greatest and superb value...just as if we signed Reus for 30million I would think we were getting good value top quality player that improves the first eleven.

Far too early to judge his quality and potential as he needs to settle into our system, but I AM concerned by his work rate. We need to defend from the front but clearly nobody has told Wilfred that yet!!
