Demi, Fernando and Mangala all had a slow start and went on to prove their worth. All got slaughtered on bluemoon. He is strong, holds the ball up well, wins headers, and has scored loads of goals in the premier league. His shot is a bit rubbish at the moment, it could be a confidence thing.

I love Edin, and I'm still unsure on Bony's worth to us but come on. Bony, in October, needs a paltry 2 goals to equal Dzeko's total for the whole of last season. This is also the Edin who ran the same distance as the Penalty spot did in majority of games last season.

Like I said, it's becoming a witch hunt. Joke of a fan base at times. Who knows, even show him some support and he may, just may find his feet here with a bit of love and time here.
Tbf the guy gets support at games there is no booing etc it's not a case that we don't want him to do well it's just that he isn't! Not a witch hunt just fair comments on his contributions to city so far. Been here nearly a year and looks miles of the pace, no work rate no sharpness and for a big guy he doesn't win enough battles with defenders.

I've defended big Wilf a lot but last night he got on my tits a bit. That ruthless finishing he had at Swansea has t come back yet, and his sharpness is taking a lot longer than I expected too.

Having said that, he scored the goal that got the ball rolling last night and did (via a defender) against Sevilla. So it's not like he's been useless.

I just hope he can step up another level as that's what it'll take at city. Especially in the biggest games.

Glad for us and especially him that he got his goal last night but Jesus Wilfried, don't go showing the back of your shirt to the fans and pointing to your name afterwards in a 'worship me' kind of way - you've been largely shit since joining.

If you have seen Bony play for Vitesse and than for Swansea you know his style of play and you know it's not a case of being lazy. Fans throw the "lazy" or "not interested" theme to players too often too soon.
Yesterday 1st goal great technical header. Played part in 2nd and cleverly let ball run through in 3rd. Some lovely 1 time touches and inter changing with KDB. Bony will be better but already showing his worth.

Bony has been given a lot of criticism and it's largely down to the high expectations we have. We've been lucky in recent times in terms of forward options. Aguero settled instantly and is world class. Tevez joined and had no problem scoring. Dzeko took 6 months to settle after signing in January but was then prolific at the start of the following season and did a good job off the bench. His overall game was questioned and he did have baron spells but we judge Bony against Aguero's standard.

The fact is Bony has had several niggles and I believe he had malaria in the summer as well. That's a serious illness and considering he signed in Jan, when at the ACON he deserves a good half of this season before we start to truly judge his performances. The fact remains that Aguero is our first choice striker, as he was when Dzeko was here. When Dzeko started his touch would often be poor and his commitment to press the opposition wouldn't be seen either. He might have scored the occasional goal but overall he didn't link up play very well. What I've seen from Bony is someone with a natural talent - he spots runners, he links play and his touch is excellent. He's starting to score, though he's still missing chances and I think that is still because he's finding his form and settling in the team. He's used to playing as the focal point, with balls played into the box from the wings. We're playing a different game and he's learning how to play with those around him. He worked very well with De Bruyne and Nacho last night and he's still finding form and fitness. I do think the goals will come, his talent for scoring was there for all to see at Swansea, he just needs to put one of these pull backs/open goals in! He's missed about 4 so far and that's a sign of someone rushing or over thinking. That's what happens when Aguero first returns from injury, and then it clicks and he scores from anywhere and everywhere.

I have been highly critical of Bony but I thought he was world class last night. Stood out head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch and was easily Man of the Match. If this is the signs of things to come I truly believe we will go on to win all 4 trophies. I would go out and buy Vardy in January and form a prolific partnership between the two. I would also go back to Swansea and give them another £10M we clearly mugged them off when we knocked them down to £25M.

You should have put a smiley at the end of that, makes it easier for us

You really are a clown. So he scores the first, has a hand in two and puts one on a plate for De Bruyne on for Kev to be stopped by a excellent/fluke save. All that in the first hour.
But yes slag him, yes his first touch finishing was a little off, I'm sure you slag Aguero just as much when it taks him a month to get back on song.
