If there's one thing I hate about football it's "supporters" who slag off players, only see negatives in performances and don't have the patience to let a player settle. Bony has shown he's got a great first touch and can lay off a ball in a tight situation. His shooting has been poor, but guess what- so is Aguero's until he gets himself going. Bony's contributing to the team and, I have no doubt, is trying his best. What's he supposed to do? Go to Pellegrini and say don't play me because there are some supporters who don't think I am good enough?
His first touch isn't good mate tonight at times it was pitiful and after that showing I don't think he will have to ask to be dropped.

It's not so much that Bony is a bad player but he just doesn't fit our normal style of play, he lacks the mobility to be useful when we're set up to counter attack and he isn't as aware as most of our attackers of what's going on around him so moves often lose momentum because of that. His first touch tonight was indeed piss poor, Channel 5 were generous to him not showing that shocking miss in the highlights.

I honestly thought Manuel might have sprung a surprise & played Kelechi on Sunday against the rags, and after watching Bony tonight, I'm still of the opinion that he should have.

I know Dzeko wasn't happy on the bench, but I still wish we had him available in our squad rather than Bony! He's in a different league of player to me!

In Dzeko's absence though, I think Iheanacho deserves a chance to stake a claim to be Aguero's understudy. I see talent and ability in him that isn't there in Bony.

If you don't like that assessment, tough! I've watched enough players at City to pass judgement, and much as I'd love Bony to prove me wrong, I very much doubt he's going to. Unfortunately!

Not a bad game from him he scored a great header, combined well (especially with KDB) but enough said about his shot in the second half.

The reason they are having to do repairs to the international space station is cos Bony's shot hit it.

I love Edin, and I'm still unsure on Bony's worth to us but come on. Bony, in October, needs a paltry 2 goals to equal Dzeko's total for the whole of last season. This is also the Edin who ran the same distance as the Penalty spot did in majority of games last season.

Like I said, it's becoming a witch hunt. Joke of a fan base at times. Who knows, even show him some support and he may, just may find his feet here with a bit of love and time here.

It's easy to say we should have kept Dzeko while reminiscing back to his golden period during our title winning years but the reality is the Dzeko of today has scored only 1 of Roma's 25 goals in the league so far this year.

Bony is frustrating the amount of chances he misses but he is scoring goals.

Wilted Boaner and Kelechi Iheanacho.

1 cost a total 900k
1 cost a total 28m

Would you guess which was which if you didn't know?

Yes Bony scored but it was pretty much all he did. Kelechi proved last night that he, on his performance should start against Norwich. Starting to think Bony has a clause in his contract that he starts as striker if Kun isn't available.

I ask everyone on here, who, on current form and fitness should be starting up front?

Good on you Wilf for scoring, I'm happy for you. Unfortunately it's the only positive I can pull from the performance.

Agree Wilf is struggling for form at the moment but wouldn't personally resort to name calling just for a giggle cos of his name. I'll be the supporting him the same as the other lads on Saturday and hope he bags a few more goals

The only positive? Come off it, did you miss his interplay in the build up to DeBruyne's goal? It was top drawer, what about his little dummy on Kelechi's goal which took out two defenders? Again quality.

As for who should start? on the back of that both should. If you notice at the start Kelechi struggled a bit to retain possession, he was swamped, then Manuel switched him and Bony meaning Kelechi had all that space in the hole while Bony pushed their centre backs deeper.

Bony's finishing, apart from that cracking header left a lot to be desired but that will come, he's proven he knows how to finish and will get his fair share, at least he's getting himself in the right positions. How bad was Aguero's finishing before his five against Newcastle?

There were a couple of occasions where a poor touch led to a promising move breaking down but he's not the only one guilty of that yet he's the only one that got met with groans when it happened.
