One of unsung heroes vs Chelsea. Held the ball well, slowed the game down when necessary - worth every penny. Even if he never scores for us, he adds so much through his mere presence on the pitch, holding the ball, opening the space for others.

Yep this, was such a relief to see our striker take down a long ball with good control, shield it from the opposition and lay it off to someone or get a free kick. How often can you say Dzeko did that? If he played as much as Dzeko did, he'd get as many goals whilst contributing much more in other departments.

If he's happy as a sub he'll be great for us, different type of threat to Aguero and can help kill a game off. He's unfortunate that Pellegrini (rightly) has realised 442 just isn't for us and our players suit a 4231 much more, and now he's competing with the best striker in the PL and arguably the world currently in Aguero. Will be interesting to see how he plays in cup games and in Aguero's absences but I fancy him to do well.

Why not? Not being arrogant but at the end of the day, we're at home to a newly promoted championship side that are miles behind us in just about every department. Have some confidence! Ha

They played together a good few times last season iirc. It doesn't strike me as a "natural" partnership. They like to occupy the same spaces on the pitch and they got in each other's way.

I hope they find that 'click' in a partnership though.

Chucking another striker on doesn't mean we're going to be better and score more goals. We have the perfect balance at the moment. Why lose it? We'd be asking for another 'Burnley'.

Know where you're coming from about changing the squad, mate. But Its not a case of throwing on 2 strikers for more goals. Imo, it would be good too start with both Bony and Aguero just to give that pairing more playing time and if we see the game out, Sub Aguero, keep Bony on, change back to what looks like our formation for the season and give him a full game for confidence. Don't think it would be the end of the world to maybe give Delph a start either for the same reason.

The winning formula won't be changed too much with 2 maybe 3 players being swapped out of the line up we've been using for the last 3 games to give the likes of Delph and Bony more game time.

We'd be better off sticking to what has worked thus far and putting them to the sword in the 1st half.

Then at 2/3-0 up we can afford to rest Yaya, Silva and Aguero.
