This could be just what Bony needs. It's exactly why he left Swansea to come to us, Champions League football against one of Europes historic giants. It's a massive occasion for him and let's hope the lad does himself proud.

We should be grateful to have him. Arguably, only Aguero, Costa, Benteke, Lukaku, Kane, Sanchez and Giroud are better than him, and he is only a back-up.

I wrote earlier he would currently start for Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and United. Harry Kane is not in any way better than Bony. Benteke has had a similar career team wise in the PL to Bony, being much less successful. Giroud is Arsenal's only striker and his goals per games is not of the level of Bony. Costa has started to show signs that he is a flat track bully. I wouldn't swap Bony for him.

2014 calender year Bony was the league's most prolific striker. And he's our second choice. I feel anyone writing him off(granted you're not) simply don't understand football.

Is hold up play is the best in the Prem. He is more mobile and technically aware than Giroud and Benteke. Harder working and much less of a twat than Costa, Costa who has looked awful for 8 months.

Sanchez is a forward, not a striker, agreed he's much better than Bony but totally different. Harry Kane is laughable. One season wonder, he'll score half what he did last year.

His start has been hampered badly. I'm very confident we'll soon see the benefit of having him around.

Expect him to have a stormer tonight, Chiellini and Bonucci won't know what's hit them when they try and bully him and find they just bounce off him.

Bony's first touch and ball retention makes Edin look like a pub player.
In my opinion, till these days there is none available better striker in the market considering the money we paid for.

Bony's forst touch, close control and lay-offs are as good as it gets. Whether it's played to his legs chest or head. It's instant, no second and third touches to get the ball where he wants it. His third touch is usually a good pass.

He just needs a couple of games on the bounce where he scores and his confidence will be right up. What better place to start than at home on Matchday One of the CL Group Stage?!
