Bony needs games and fitness. He had a serious illness in pre-season so not had the best of preparation and not easy to come in and perform at this level.

I wouldn't say that. Bony is a good finisher.

Of course you wouldn't agree with the post you replied to as you would be wrong.

Bony is a very good finisher.

I believe that since Dzeko left he has become, to some, Van Basten and Di Stefano rolled into one.

The same Dzeko that scored just 3 times in 18 starts for City in the CL.

Bony at Swansea was an excellent finisher. He had no problems converting chances and the stats support that.
He needs a bit of a run in our team however you have to be realistic. The new shape of our team with 1 up top is proving very effective and as a result Bony will be second choice to Aguero unless there is a dramatic turn round in form or more likely forced changes due to injuries. He will have to adjust to the stop start nature of the role and get on with it. It started to get to Dzeko in the end.

Difference between Dzeko and Bony is simple Dzeko was capable and achieved a 91:15 moment.

Capable of stinking the place out as well as hot streaks of goal scoring form.

Bony has yet to prove himself here in terms of goal scoring but then again he's only started 4, yes that's FOUR, games for the club so I'm willing to give him time as another difference I see is that Bony contributes a lot more to the team than Dzeko did when he wasn't scoring.

We should be grateful to have him. Arguably, only Aguero, Costa, Benteke, Lukaku, Kane, Sanchez and Giroud are better than him, and he is only a back-up.
Maybe I'm being bias but.. Benteke/Lukaku for me are no better than Bony, just about level I would say, Lukaku could likely become better but currently I wouldn't take him over Bony. Kane has had one good season, no way is he better than Bony at the moment, same as Lukaku he is young & could become better but not currently. Sanchez is a winger & doesn't play at striker for Arsenal, so would remove him from the equation anyway assuming we're comparing strikers. Giroud is not better, Giroud is an echo of Dzeko & I absolutely prefer Bony to Dzeko.

For me in that list you have Aguero/Costa who are better, Benteke arguably on a par & Lukaku/Kane with potential but not currently better than him.

We're lucky to have him as a back up, lets see what he can do tonight.

think he very unlucky the other day when he turned his man from a kdb pass very clever piece of play
