Most teams parked their buses and will continue to do so. Having Yaya ala Pirlo to break them down & to score - Lots of pluses there.
Pogba is not a given to score goals. Just look at Pogba's goal record (in serie A) & having seen him trying to score from box to box run recently (without the end product).

Grass is greener over your neighbour's septic tank.

What makes you so sure that Pogba will come to City.

If Yaya does stay then we do have to play him in a different position and use him in games where he will make a difference.

Play him in the big games behind the striker and allow him to rest for the games where we should win comfortably is the way to go.

Pirlo, who is not one of the best of tacklers in the game, is in the finals of the UCL right now and Juve had enough sense to 'cover his weaknesses' by not leaving him to himself but giving him hardworking partners like Marchisio, Pogba and Vidal because they did something that a lot of folks on here fail to do: recognized and harnessed his special talent.

We need Yaya for the transistion period in case Pogba is beyond our reach or to phase in another MF of Yaya's calibre. Who's going to make up for shortfall of Yaya's goal production?

Thinking about it, as long as Yaya is willing to play a bit part role, this is good for City. A Midfield comprised of Silva, Fernandinho and possibly De Bruyne, Pogba and Sterling with Yaya coming of the bench? That's truly a world class midfield.

Milner and Lampard are leaving so we could do with keeping Yaya for his experience alone.

We have seen Yaya's scoring goals against sides that parked their buses.
Its experience that Pogba et al need to bed in.
Why are we against having Yaya on our team and want him gone is beyond our ken.

This is absolutely spot on , Yaya has a good 2 years left in him with the right team around him.

Fernandinho , Pogba & Yaya is the best midfield three in Europe next year , it's got everything, pace , creativity, work rate , goals , ball retention , power and experience

Add sterling , aguero and silva as a fluid front three and we could be on the verge of a special year..

Same. People are clinging to that amazing season he had as a reason to keep him but we will never ever have a Yaya that motivated ever again. He's got older he's got slower he clearly hasn't been arsed at all this season. Get him sold, thank him for his amazing service during his time here and replace him with one of the above.

what we must do is secure pogba then we can do what the fuck we like with yaya. up to now he's always held the upper hand. his agents loves that so time to fuck him over for a change.

Recently we've been playing

-----Milner-----Aguero------Silva
-----------Lampard---Yaya
--------------Fernandinho

and we've looked more solid but also scored 3 per game. With Fernandinho behind, Lampard and Yaya have been allowed to press 10 yards higher up the pitch as a pair and been given the freedom to alternate runs into the box.

Yaya is the best player in the PL at retaining possession and cycling the ball in midfield. Pogba is not that player yet but replace Lampard with Pogba and Milner with Sterling and we'd look seriously competive.

I wasn't exactly warm on the idea of signing Sterling with Yaya leaving because even with Pogba our ball retention in midfield would not be good enough and Silva's influence would drop as a result - and thus Aguero's.

I just hope that Yaya staying isn't an indication that we've admitted defeat in the chase for Pogba. The two of them together with a bit of leeway in getting forward whilst not being left too light at the back would be amazing
