It kind of makes you look a bit like one of the Bosnian Fanboys we used to get a lot of when you make a statement like the first and follow it up immediately with the next 2 IMO. Irrespective of mistakes made, he did win us a double last year, took us out of the groups both years in the CL, finished second this year and is looking highly likely (I think nailed on) to be our manager next season when we go get our title back. Your probably in for a disappointing season next year under our "Brainless Idiot"
Sorry I'm not here as a WUM or whatever, I personally admit to having doubts about Pellegrini when he replaced Mancini.
I argued a lot with other posters about him throughout 13/14 and only changed my mind in favor of him after we won the league, however, I still had my doubts and was willing to see how things panned out this season and changed back to being against him from about December (if my memory is correct).
As far as I'm concerned the players determination, plus a little luck from the scousers blowing up spectacularly at Crystal Palace helped us win the league. It certainly wasn't Pellegrini's tactical nouse that caused us to win the league in 13/14, if anything it was in spite of his stubborness, we won again.
As supporters we we're all led to believe by ITK's on this forum that Pellegrini was "the engineer" and that we would play a high pressing style of game, would see more academy players playing etc etc.
Well as the first season panned out I saw precious little "engineering" of the team, few academy players playing, didn't play a pressing game throughout games, (more sporadically I'd say) and we won the league by reverting back to a modified 4-2-3-1 style for the last 6 games (including Everton away) in the end, without this, I've no doubt we would have finished second again. So we won in spite of the manager.
This season can anyone say any of the above expectations / promises have been fulfilled?
We have qualified twice from the Champs League, but I'm pretty sure that would have happened anyway under Mancini (especially for 13/14 where we had an easier group) and this season we only just scraped through, despite our incompetence against CSKA. And don't get me started on playing 4-4-2 against Barcelona at home this season in the first leg!
Needless to say I'm not at all impressed with our current manager.
Personally I don't think we'll win anything next year, even if we do get Pogba, Stirling and DeBruyne, because I just don't trust Pellegrini to be flexible and pragmatic when required for the crunch games.
And no, I'm not one of those Bosnian fanboys, I simply think Yaya is a fantastic player, despite not playing as well this season compared to previous seasons, much like other players this season. He deserves a little patience from the fans to my mind.
