So, let’s get this right: you changed your mind after we won the league (what foresight), then, when we didn’t match the record-breaking season under Peller’s, you decided, like a kid with a new toy, to suddenly be against. There was no luck in winning the league. There never is. 38 games. Whoever is top, is top, not because someone else blew it, but because they’re the best team. The football we played last year was sublime. Goals rained in. We demolished some of the countries best sides. But nope, nothing to do with the manager. All despite him. And this season, it’s not quite gone to plan and it’s all the manager’s fault. You want it both ways. Bullshit.
LIKE.

Very very good.

Glad that he's staying, really. But at 32, his current playing style needs reinvention.

There's a dip in Yaya's physicality this year, but he does not need to be very athletic because his long range passing is off the charts.

Commentators always talk about his bulldozing but rarely his technique. A tweak in the formation and he can be as good as Pirlo

Being 20 yards away when a player has a history of making these breaks, breaks that usually involve running 40-50 metres sparks of being lazy, the same accusation labelled at Yaya.

Exactly. Some of the accusations made here in this forum are plain disingenuous and raggish. Expecting Yaya to be a headless chicken or ploughhorse when he is our City Imperious Thoroughbred (American Pharoah comes to mine) .
Question is do we expect the likes of Milner or Fernando or Fenandihno to
1. Score Most PL Goals as a Midfielder
2.'Quarterback' the midfield & make Sublime Passes
3. Breakdown a stubborn parked bus
4. Score on Free Kicks
5. Lung bursting runs box to box with the END PRODUCT

Can anyone cited above (including Pogba who is yet to be proven for our gritty PL) PERFORM ALL THE ABOVE?

Even the Greatest English Midfielder of his Generation (acclaimed by the rags) cannot even accomplished 21% of the above.

Admittedly he was not up to par in contrast to the previous season, but even at 60-70% of that he still was outstanding & contributed 10 goals (Rooney -12, Hazard -14) when you consider the rest of the PL midfielders.

Now we want to cut our nose to spite our face?

A complete assessment of our squad requirements especially 2 WC players (if possible) for every position.
Yes Yaya's (Pogba) and Hart's (?) alternates.
Our owner has the wherewithal. We should be thankful and grateful for that. Don't second guess him.

He may be on par or slightly below Pirlo but one thing for sure is that he will score more! Who will make up for the shortfall?
