First off there is no way that Sheikh Mansour would get involved in anything as mundane as discussing issues with a player if it is anybody it was anybody talking to Yaya it would have been Sheikh Khaldoon. This just smacks of an agent who has been trying to agitate for a move and his player has been told he is going nowhere so said agent is trying to save face when said player is not sold

I am pleased that he is not going. I know his style is languid and I get frustrated when I don't see him running around like Milner but they are different types of players and personalities. What City must do is get a DM who is a real presence and who has a real engine who can do the water carrying role I thought Fernando was that player he isn't and neither is Fernandinho combined they might be but I really hope we get Pogba as I see him as that type of player

Maybe after 2 years of seluk being a wanker and city's name being dragged through the mud mansour had had enough? When the main man speaks then people will definitely listen!

So unless Pellers has a Damascus road experience or YaYa gets pushed up field both can't stay and City remain in the hunt for the Premier League title.

For me this is as big as a new signing. Absolutely buzzing that the big man is staying, and that the the club did the right thing but telling him how important he is and that they had no intention of selling him.

Roma at home, again absolutely failing to close down someone 5 yards away which made Kompany look a fucking idiot because he had to charge out to try and cover for Yaya's lack of effort.

CSKA - getting sent off for petulant behaviour.

Barcelona - just letting Raticek stroll 40-50 yards despite knowing he was leaving Zabba 1 vs 2 at the back post.

Trust me there's a fucking shitload more, that's just what immediately pops into my head. That's not even mentioning the way we fail to regain possession against anyone half decent.

With Yaya playing in the right position we have 12 , he is arguably the best player in our history and a rival even to someone like Bell. He will never be the hero or Man or loved half as much but as a player I have not seen anyone in my lifetime in this country who could so grab a game by the scruff of the neck.

Even in the games where according to blues he wasn't even playing you will nearly always find he touched the ball more and completed more passes than anyone in the entire league that day. - precious fans who let agents doing their job upset them and in the emotion lose all sight of his ability!

As for comparisons with tevez , Yaya has never done 5 % of what tevez did and is far to professional and has to much self respect to be a traitorous dick like tevez

There are 11 players on the pitch for a team, though sometimes it goes down to 10 when a player gets sent off for being a dick.

It seems like Pellegrini has had that Damascus moment. He could have gone 4-4-2 at the end of the season but started with just one up top for those games.

Really want him to say BUT only if he puts the effort in. Need him to be pushed forward and have less of a defensive role at this time of his career. If he stays and goes into a defensive role or into a midfield with Fernandinho/Fernando doing their job and his, it's not going to work.

Push him forward, get him dedicated again and see the lung-busting runs and effort we saw in the last 2 games of this season.

going around in circles on here with YAYA debate.. anyone who has watched him from the 1st game to now knows he is was/never a player that without the ball that good opposition players already went past him it's what he does with the ball that if have him in our side every time! There are going to be rather large helpings of humble pie being eaten on here next season if Yaya stays and we adapt to a 433 formation. My advice to the Yaya knockers is to quietly leave this thread and hope that no-one revives it when he proves you all wrong.
