We might have missed his passing, but in Lampard we have a much more balanced midfield/team when facing high quality opponents.

No we don't: Yaya is the better player. The difference last night was not that Lampard was in the side rather than Yaya but that we used a 4-1-4-1 formation.

That could possibly be it.
But imo missing Yayas passing wasn't a big deal against Bayern. Lamps had quite a few brilliant ones, including the assist for what led up to Sergio's penalty. Frank has a kind of "let's get forward" attitude built into his DNA, always, yet very rarely misses his passes or looses possession.
A Yaya of last season is a better player Yes, but I have seen very little of him this season which would suggest he'd get back into that kind of form again. Until he does, I still make the claim that Lampard is better for our team against high quality opponents.

We were bossed by ten men last night to be fair mate.

That we were. Quite frightening really... such an amazing team that is. I can't see anyone beating them for the CL title.

Can't believe the love in on here for bayern they kept the ball well yes! But apart from the goals they created a good chance and a half chance! Also they were undone 3 times by a 2 pass move! No need to play 80 passes in the middle of the park and get nowhere! Imagine if they defend like that against a chelsea or madrid! They will get destroyed.

It seems that THE mod is rightly being shown up for being an idiot on this one. I would also agree that continually calling one of our own a c*** is way below the belt and should not be accepted. As someone pointed out can a mod be brought to task because on this occasion De Niro is out of order.
By the way you are still building your argument on paper talk despite your distrust of papers which is bizarre.

it was his own twitter feed.

still you carry on being a nodding dog.

Do you know what I'll stop now because I'll never agree with you, you are clearly someone who likes to patronize and call people names and I really don't want to be called a c*** as well. Not great for a mod....

why would i call you a ****? have you ever disrespected our club or told bare face lies in order to justify you throwing your toys out of the pram.

he's a great player, one of the best to ever grace the prem, but then so was roy keane and he too is a ****.

Spot on.

Who here expressed a love for Bayern? I know I didn't.
I have a huge amount of respect for them though, a respect based on results. Just take a look at what they have achieved since the season 2009/10 in the domestic league/cups as well as the CL. And their total annihilation of Barca 2013 over two legs (7-0) was spectacular.
I doubt Real or Chelsea will be up against a decimated ten-men Bayern, as well as with many regular players rested. But if that happened, yes chances are hey would be beaten badly.

I feel comfortable claiming, that when I say they are a frighteningly good team, it's not a matter of opinion. It's a fact.
Still I do not love them... in fact quite the contrary, mainly do to the people running the club and a couple of arrogant fans I've come across over the years.

Obviously they are a good team but I think people on here are going over the top to say they can't see anyone beating them to the champs lge, if you seen what madrid done to them last year! I also think the very top teams now how to play guardiola, s teams now sit deep press them in your own half then hit them fast on the counter! Also people have to remember why bayern were down to 10! Because they were ripped apart with a simple pass over the top of a exposed defence! To easy!

You do know that before playing us on Tuesday night Bayern had already qualified for the next round of the Champions League?

So they didn't mean to score those two goals, then?

Yes! And your point is?

Lahm broke his ankle in a training session a week last Tuesday. Players risk getting injured whenever they play football, so Bayern had no need to go for broke and risk injuries when they had nothing to play for.

We won the match purely because Aguero saved us.

Seems to me they carry more risk when not playing flat out, he broke his ankle in training you say?
