replace him ? with who ?
nobody around who's close to his ability, technique and brain for controlling
a game.
He needs replacing soon anyway due to his age. 32 next May, which means we have to look to the future. I think Koke is the best replacement for him.

Got another 3 years at the top in him.

at the level he is at now i'd say two. great if he can spend them here. then psg will be welcome to him.

Need to keep him. But push him up the pitch

Totally wrong with your second comment. Yaya is our pass and retention anchor in the middle of the field and pushing him forward would lose us that stability. Watching the match today you will have noticed how virtually everything went through Yaya with subtle one two's.
We will miss him when he eventually goes, he is a genuinely special type of player.

Re: Yaya?

He is still the king. We should be signing a top drawer young-ish midfielder (Koke plz) AND keeping Yaya for as long as he can cope. Use him more sparingly in future and we'll extend his lifespan as a top footballer. Yaya/Koke/Fernandinho/Fernando would be outstanding options once Lampard is gone.

Agree; if Yaya wants to stay.

Re: Yaya?

Quite simply one of the best players in the world and the best in the prem throughout 2014 by a country mile. Pogba may we'll be a long term replacement but he is nowhere near Yaya yet.

yep, any replacement would probably weaken us a little in the short term. ofcourse, there are ways to compensate, goals from out wide/set pieces etc...having match winners other than sergio (and yaya)

Re: Yaya?

Gonna be a massive loss for us! He's irreplaceable! Also for people suggesting he should play further forward must not be watching how he dictates games playing in a 2 man central midfield! Just hope we can stay in touch with the rent boys to we get him back!
