Not his fault tonight, he doesn't have the physique to play 2 against 3 against top quality players. It gets exposed by the likes of Southampton and Swansea so fuck knows why our manager thinks Roma will be any different. He has to either be surrounded by runners in these types of games or left on the bench.

Nowhere good enough for top technical European teams. As long as he is in our midfield, specially midfield of two, we'd see more scary moments like in first half tonight.

He has played a key role in our recent success but Barcelona knew what they were doing when they sold him to City.

What a ridiculous post, he's been essential and the driving force behind our success, yes he's regressed but ffs, short memories. Pellegrini got it absolutely wrong tonight, it's been apparent since our champions league exposure 2/3 seasons ago that he is unable to play in a midfield two in Europe, manuel shouldn't be ignored in this, he's seen how we come up short when persisting with him in that role in Europe!!
