Yaya?

Like to see him dropped see how we perform

Hart
Zabba vinnie mangala clichy
Fernando fernandhino
Navas Silva Milner
Aguero/dzeko/jovetic

Would like to see how we would do with a side like that. Just not sure who I would start upfront. Probably aguero but that's a small side. Maybe nasri for Milner if he was fit

Didn't play that bad last night I thought,, just seems we need a new scapegoat. Fernandinhio was worse than him but he goes unnoticed. The 2 in midfield whoever it may be does not work. Get Fernando in with them to help and watch Yaya flourish in the CL.

What the fuck were you watching? Fern was running himself into the ground,he was as good as he could have been given his lack of support.

I agree.

Yaya is finished at Champions League level in my opinion, impact sub is the best option for him.

He is a luxury player and a liability when the team is out of possession.

The team needs to come first instead of waiting around for Yaya to come up with a moment of brilliance, nine times out of ten you can't win the Champions League on moments of individual brilliance, it has to be a team effort.

Re: Yaya?

I can't believe people are here saying Nasri unbalances the team, i think you may find that it isn't the personal that's unbalancing the team, it's the system implicated. As for Toure he's lost his head and his body language tells me he's not happy.

If i was Manuel i would loose him and in the very near future. I would be looking to base the team on the style Chile currently use but do it better. Chile currently have players with high energy however many lack quality to go with it. I would love to see a team replicate the high energy game with higher quality players.

Re: Yaya?

He simply doesn't work hard enough off the ball in the Champion's League.

We all know the quality he has, but it's fine margins in the CL and he simply isn't doing enough.

Seems like everybody's realised Yaya can't play in a midfield 2, so what about a midfield trio with Fernando and Fernandinho? It would help Yaya, but push Silva out wide where defensively he isn't great and teams can exploit it.

Silva in the number 10 role and Yaya as an impact sub in most CL games for me.

It's interesting our best result in the CL (away at Bayern) was when Yaya was out - the team was so much better balanced that night.

For me he turned up to pre season 2 stone overweight in the states, he was only off for 3-4 weeks. No problem with that but you can just tell he's a bobbins trainer and needs matches to get match fit. Well I'm afraid he's another 2 weeks away from it, he should be putting more effort in training. Dissapointed in Yaya's lack of professionalism and am surprised that Kompany was pimping a new contract extension on his behalf in the media.

First excuse noted.

Now we need the random passing stat that tells us he actually played a blinder despite what we ALL saw last night.

Oh, we also need a Yaya fan boy to come on and explain that taking it in the ass from him all summer was all good fun/confusion completely manufactured by his agent unbeknownst to Yaya.

Been thinking about the free kick just outside the box that he failed to take despite the fact it was similar to the position from where he was knocking them in for fun last season. No good reason for him not to take it from what I could see. Did he not want to score?

My missus said he was ambling about like an 80 year old rather than a 60 year old which is the norm. It appears to me he doesn't want to play for the fans anymore.

Does your missus know his brother died a few weeks ago?
Why do you ask did yaya not want to score? did you see his two brilliant long range efforts against hull? do you really think he wanted to score at the weekend, but didnt want to score last night? what sort of yaya agenda theory are you really advancing pal?

what did you think of his performance away at real madrid, when we narrowly lost and he was outstanding?

Sorry... let's look at at current form.

Yaya is way off the pace. at the moment...
It gives me no pleasure noting this as this man has been immense for us over the years

I can't help feeling that his brother's death this summer might be having some impact

Re: Yaya?

I still think pellegrini is to blame in all this. With Fernando being injured we have no real other option than to play fernan and yaya. My opinion is the problem lies with the two strikers not working hard enough and dropping in. Jovetic could easily do this role as he's one of the most hard working players in the team. This is also the opinion of bayern when they smashed us at home last season.

How about Fernando, Fernandinho and Yaya as the midfield three? This would give stability and allow Yaya to ping the ball around. Up front, Dzeko and Aguero, which would give us height and options up front. And Silva playing in behind them - allowing him to play centrally.
