If Pep is coming Yaya will be out the door. It was Pep who basically showed him the door at Barca.
He does not strike me as the type to let what he considers an asset to just leave without so much as a "please stay".

Yaya was given certain freedom to shine here and he did, still does on occasion but the frequency is dwindling.
I can't think of to many other teams that would have accommodated him whilst staying competitive at the very top. That is to say we took up the defensive slack pretty well all things considered.

With him we can't advance either imo, we have tried every variation of tactic with every player but if Yaya is not doing anything in Attack he is almost not worth having on the pitch very often.
We keep hoping for some miracle in midfield and it is never coming unless change is made. In my opinion it all stems from that and bad luck with injuries.
The risk of selling him and seeing how we could do with a new look and ofc player was worth it at the end of last season imo.

The pros are not worth it imo basically.

That said if we have some agreement with Pogba to come when Pep does i can see why we persevered.
