Really poor today, probably the worst player on the pitch. Just glad that Pellers put Fernando in behind him to stop him from having too big a negative impact on us. The sooner we get a proper replacement the better, as I'd much rather have seen Navas start the game and have had De Bruyne in the middle instead of the walking dead

He was poor, his strength is normally when he's in possession but today he played like he was messing around in a park, way to slow in making decisions.

Also he always seems to play more advanced then his actual position, meaning of he plays central midfield he always plays like he's in the 10 role. And today when in the 10 role he played like he was a striker!

Somehow he's useless in the CAM role, tried it against Spurs & tried it here - simply doesn't work. He's better off deeper as it's his bursting runs that cause damage, he doesn't do that when he plays further up.

We would have been far better taking him off for Navas instead of Sterling for me considering the way we were playing. KdB could have gone centre & the pace for the counters would have been available.

Age catches up with everyone and this coupled with the fact that he wants to be the main man, means it maybe the beginning of the end of Yaya at City. He looked bemused at being pulled off but it was the correct decision. We have been so lucky to have him from age 28 to 31 but the most telling thing is we wouldn't miss Yaya of 2015 as much as we miss Silva. At least we didn't lose today. I also think that Nasri being out of form/team doesn't help his ball retention and he seems to have lost a yard which means we see less of the barnstorming runs of 2 seasons ago. Happy that we had him, but he will not enjoy being a bit part player and I can see him being moved on pretty sharpish.

Frustrating. In the big games I don't think there's a place for him anymore if everyone is fit. I thought he'd be okay to play the 10 role from a defensive aspect but I certainly don't think so now. In games like today the position is in no way a 'free role' where you can just stroll around and only come to life in an attacking sense. Silva does a lot more work in that regard.

My one criticism of Pellegrini today is not bringing Navas on for Toure first, then moving Sterling in to the middle. I believe that could have given us more joy
