After games, but pregame there are already fans wishing us I'll will just so they can be right. Fuking does my head in.

I get it, 30% don't like Yaya, another 40 Despise Willy, Otamendi is not for another 20℅, Kola is hated by another 25. But before a game starts, let's have some positivity for fuk sakw. You can discuss each player afterwards. Worst of all is that most of these opinions are grossly selective. No one says shit about Silva's poor play or Aguero's lack of effort. It's always find the same names to berate. It's annoyingly unenjoyable.
Perhaps you should just accept he played badly and the decision to play him was the wrong one.

There are games where he can influence, but there are also games like Liverpool at home, and Everton at Goodison in a semi-final which you just know are going to be high tempo games where he should be coming on late in the game. Players like Silva and Aguero are being isolated because they reply on midfield runners. We could play with two up top, or play De Bruyne in the middle of the pitch but no Pellegrini has his one method of play and against all evidence he will not change.

By far and away his worst performance EVER in a City shirt. He wasn`t alone tonight, but of late his performances have been nothing short of dire.
Not worse than Dortmund at home a few years back.

I agree that the team is unbalanced at the moment. But I don't think taking him out of the team will improve us because the quality is just not there elsewhere in the squad.

As for the second leg I would definitely start him.

But again, my original point was not whether he should be in the team or not , I respect that opinions are split on that. But it's the dogs abuse from some blues on here that I hate
Play Iheanacho and Aguero in a 442 with Silva and De Bruyne in midfield. Or Sterlinga nd Aguero up front. there are loads of options in a squad of this quality. None will happen.

How can you even defend the indefensible? Fernandinho and Delph are both more than comfortable in possession and several times today had a static Yaya in front of them, not even moving to create space for himself or others. He didn't contribute to tonight's game in any way, shape or form.
Fernandinho is half decent and can usually quickly move the ball on with a decent degree of accuracy. I'm not convinced he can pivot with the ball and bring other people into play. He doesn't have anywhere near the passing brain or speed of thought or vision of Toure. He still has a lot more to draw on than he is currently showing. My issue with him is that most of his great games stem from his tenacity and ability to read the game and make interceptions. He rarely excels in the attacking side of his game despite having fairly rounded footballing ability.

Delph just isn't reliable in possession. His speed of thought isn't great, nor is his decision making. The Arsenal game is a an example of this when he inexcusably played the ball back to Mangala instead of rolling a ten yard pass into the feet of Fernandinho, who was in acres of space. He's a good standard Premier League player who would struggle to get regular games anywhere half decent.

Once again, Yaya was poor tonight, but no poorer than everybody else and the calls to drop him are utterly stupid considering his replacements or positional team mates are of lesser quality - especially when in possession.

Finally, someone who sees the obvious.

Like most of the team he looks unfit and knackered after 20 mins.

He gives the ball away far too much these days.

The obvious answer is to have a fresh Yaya on the bench to come on with 30 minutes left and make a difference.

He could be fantastic as an impact player but the question is would he be happy with that. In other words being dropped for Delph or Fernando is unlikely to go down well.

Much as i appreciate yaya's contribution to the rise of MCFC , MP needs to try playing a few games without the big man in the side , he slows down our attacks , we become slow and lethargic and opposition teams are getting players behind the ball , parking the bus , whilst we play tippy tappy in midfield . We have to speed our game up , start on the front foot and start pressing the opposition , and that is not yaya's game , leave him out , let him get fully fit for the run-in.
