So we sort of agree. I don't need to like players as a person if that player wins my club silverware. A good character helps but it still doesn't explain why some fans totally go over the top I their critics.

I think you're missing the point.

Yaya has been important in us winning us trophies. In the past we could put up with the odd lazy game and the crap that goes with the agent.

Now that his star is declining and the poor performances become more frequent, we are seeing more of these "agent" outbursts. These are negative for MCFC. When that outweighs his positives it is time to go.

The facts? The facts sunshine are that Yaya Toure has been absolutely instrumental in everything we have achieved over the last 5 or 6 years, without him we would have won neither league title, and neither domestic cup. I think it's also fair to say that signing GREAT players like Yaya has been a big part of attracting other big players like Kun. As for the shit that he sometimes comes out with or more often his agent, so fucking what, sticks and fucking stones comes to mind. He may well say some stuff that we would all rather he didn't but he is a footballing genius, not a bloody author. How many famous actors have you heard come out with claptrap, fucking most of them I would say, but does that mean you don't watch and enjoy their films, it is how talented people sometimes communicate. You talk about facts, we'll find me a factual criticism of Yaya from any current City teammate, any past City team mate for that matter, or any current or past member of the City coaching or management staff? FACT is they haven't criticised him and they are the people he works with. Dickheads on here might slag him to fuck, and no-brain muppets like lawrenson mills Owen, but strangely never his colleagues. Along with the likes of David, Sergio, Vincent, Joe, Pablo etc he is part of what has made us great rather than the shit to mediocrity of most of what I have watched in over 50 years as a Blue, and I would rather have a flawed genius than no genius at all, FACT
