Whats the point. Lot of clueless people attacking Toure, but fail to see how much he added. Was it his fault Sterling failed to use his run and pass?

Fucking shocking today. No energy or urgency whatsoever, second half in particular he was utterly pointless. For a supposedly creative player he creates so fucking little, just slows the game down and passes it out to one of the fullbacks.

Maybe going on a surging run once or twice a game impresses some. Not me. I want someone who wants to play for the club and generally plays for his team. A pretty drab performance by him in my opinion, he gets shown up in Europe, Seville aside

It seems that 3 needless long range shots that all went wide is enough for people to think the guy on £200k a week has done a good job. Yaya can no longer dominate games and it is fucking annoying watching him get a free pass game after game and always an automatic starter because "he might produce a bit of magic". He needs to go in the summer and we need someone like Pogba who has the legs and the hunger to actually perform.

On the money. People are judging him on past not present.

Luxury than we can carry against lower 10 PL sides but goes MIA against top sides nowadays.

Shouldn't start on Saturday after yet another dire performance, however he will probably as he's seemingly deemed undroppable by management.

how has this guy, managed to the play the full 90 minutes in two important games against both liverpool and juventus and produce absolutely f*ck all.?

Whilst he wasn't bad he certainly wasn't good. A few wild pot shots, one or two decent runs, but didn't create much if anything for us. Was slow in his build up & statuesque as usual when people ran at him.

Formation helped him in terms of it stopped us getting totally over ran in midfield (slightly - still happened) but it doesn't help him in terms of attacking play, he doesn't have room to run at people from deep (as he starts further up), he has no creative player ahead of him to link up with (Silva/De Bruyne; as they're out wide), so he's forced into either wild shots, passing it sideways, or passing it to a wide player who then don't have an option themselves.

I just don't see where he fits in for us. He's all but useless in a 2 man CM midfield for any tough match, and he's not better than our genuine attacking midfielders further up the pitch. By accommodating him all we achieve is ending up in a disjointed system with our best players out of position, or a horribly exposed back line.

For me his use is now limited to matches where we're very dominant (fair few PL/cup matches) & his deep runs & passing range becomes more of an asset than his defensive frailties. This still leaves him with a lot of game time but it simply is time to say for certain matches he shouldn't start - it's detrimental to how we play.
