Stoke away? I suspect the vast majority would want Delph ahead of him .We're a more effective,cohesive and balanced team without him.We'll see whether or not it's a blessing tomorrow!

We started the season on fire with him in the side. His performances have dropped off since he was pushed further forward which is a position that I don't think suits him.
IMHO his best position is to sit deeper with the game in front of him and link the defence with the midfield and attack. That way he isn't expected to continually get up and down the pitch, which he can't do effectively any more (though for some reason some of our fans don't seem as bothered when our other more attacking players fail to get back). I'd play him behind Delph and Fernandinho in a midfield 3 as a deep lying playmaker.

Pathetic. As it happens the biggest link between Spurs, Liverpool and Stoke are Fernando & Demichelis.
