Player who most surpassed expectations

SWP a bright spark at at dire time for City.
Niall Quinn scored a load of goals and I didn't have high hopes when he arrived.
Rosler. Never heard of him but he had a great impact with his energy and goals.
Zabaleta I'd have happily sent on his way but wow what a player he turned out to be!
Kompany turned from a decent defensive midfielder to outstanding defender.
Finally Silva who has given me such immense pleasure with his superb ability to dictate a game. Started ok but has got better and better (with a bit of a dip a year or so ago).

Craig Bellamy would be my pick - never really rated him...I was wrong.

Another one who surpassed my impressions of him was Darren Huckerby - far better player than I ever thought he was before he came to City - won a game all by himself vs millwall when we went down to 10 early doors

David Silva.

In that first game away at Spurs he looked lightweight. Spent a lot of time on the bench up until Blackpool away. Kicked on from there and is now probably the best player we have ever had.

Don't know if youth products really qualify, but I saw a raw youth turn out for us at left back, who turned into a terrific player. Willie Donachie, a great servant and the scorer of the best own goal ever, a 30 yard curler. Thank God it was for Scotland.
