Players supposedly unhappy

I’d be staggered if we didn’t have players unhappy tbh, the thing to focus on is we keep the players that do something about it, or at least try to, themselves.

Stones’s comeback this season being a prime example.

I think we have a few players that think they are better that what they are. Mendy, Gabby and Sterling to name three. If they want to go then let them. The reality of their abilities will settle in at some point.

Never thought that about Jesus tbh, I’ve never seen him play, or speak, with arrogance. If anything, I think he’s too over zealous at times.

Maybe not but 'apparently' he is one of the ones who is not happy. Could all be bs of course.

To me, every player wants to play every game.

However, when you're playing for Manchester City under our current ownership, you will play for a team looking to compete favourably in all competitions.

I think someone mentioned the other day, we had played 61 of a possible 62 (??).

Players should be happy with the playing time given, especially when in a delayed international year when they'll all be under pressure to perform for their nations at the Euros or Copa America.

I'd be surprised if we had players whinging with two pots in the bag, a Semi Final and CL Final as well.
They don’t have time to whinge, it’s been that sort of season.

As long as it’s about playing time, then I don’t see that as a negative thing to be honest. Jesus strikes me as the kind of player that will react the right way and try even harder in training to get back in the squad more regularly.

Being unhappy isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I’d rather that than someone happy to be sat on the bench and not seeking to improve their situation.

I always see Gabby as the 'nice quiet lad' but surely if he has been saying he wants more game time AND he knows Sergio was going he cannot think he is going to be first choice. My thoughts would be and only can be that they are what he was potentially asking. If we bring in Kane or Haaland he has got no chance unless he is going on the wing.

Of course we have unhappy players as does every other top club - you have 20-odd world class athletes competing against each other for 11 places. Every day the dressing room will be an explosive mix of over inflated or bruise egos. The minute that changes is when we slip down the table and become ordinary.

Of course it is true. Some players will show it by being mards and others will channel it into motivation to play better and prove the manager wrong.

I love that we shoot for the moon every year, but that means we have to have a squad of 22 top top players to ensure we can put out a team good enough to win every game every 3 days.

But it also means a player can tell where he sits in the pecking order and sometimes, as has shown in the last 7 or 8 league games, it's very difficult to get yourself back up the ladder when you are playing with other players in that same position.

I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere on here but I believe Pearce is still available for managerial work and am sure he would ensure sterling and jesus get full games or at least 80 mins
