Players targeted / Leg breaker hack on Sterling and kdb

Spot on.. posted elsewhere that Danny Murphy and the rest of ‘The Brains Trust’ that comprises football pundits in this country should all be ashamed of their recent assertions that the way to stop City is to leave a boot in.. Footballing dinosaurs, each and every one of them..

TBF the modern pundits who just came out of playing the game (Thierry Henry for example) wouldn't be saying things like that.

I think it's a generation thing, specifically British pundits who played in the top league in England in the 90s and/or 80s where that sort of "stick ya boot in to let him know you are there!" and "SMASH HIM!!!" was as common as heading the ball (we know what long-term damage that does) and having a fag/pint before and after the match.

Football (this is mainly in Britain) needs a more PC approach, and get rid of the "old boys club" on MOTD of Lineker, Murphy etc who are dinosaurs and bring in a whole new team who understand and appreciate the modern game.

He wouldn’t advocate that for his beloved Liverpool would he?!

If you get the police involved then what?

We'll then get to a stage in football where players will be so afraid of being prosecuted for a mis-timed tackled that looks dangerous they'll simply not bother challenging at all and we'll have a tackle free game.
Football isn't some bubble where UK law doesn't apply.

Who exactly told Moss about the assault He was trundling in the wake of our breakaway so some lickspittle told him but must have downplayed his version.
Am I imagining it, or did the rules change a few years ago so that even when a yellow card has been shown, the Prem can still review an incident if the ref didn't have a full view of what happened ?

A really simple way to approach this would be to adopt rugby's (both codes I think) rule of allowing the referee, with a raise of the hands, to book a player whilst also placing them on 'report.' This is a signal to show the incident will be examined further, with a future ban possible.

It's not fucking rocket science is it.
think that is a great idea

How exactly would the police get involved in such instances and do you believe the police have the time to try and prove a defender/striker had intent to make a challenge or rather that it was just mistimed?

Also how would football work during the season when numerous players are under investigation and what sentences do you think players should face?
