Players who might improve us

ِAre you sure ? His main strength that I saw so far is his attacking ability

Its really new for me to see CB who plays wide and outperforms attacking players.
He is a good header of the ball. He was signed as a centre half. Happy with him at left back but it depends who is available to sign in the future.

Nico Schlotterbeck is incredible left-footed CB with agression, passing, IQ, leadership, 6'3, can cover wide areas and even play as a LB.

Would be very expensive but ideal replacement for Ake.
Yeah really like Schlotterbeck myself. He would be up there with one of my top choices. Huijsen would be number 1 think he’s set to be one of the best CB’s of this generation with him being elite physically but also incredible on the ball, 2 footed. 19 he’s actually crazily good. Juventus made a huge mistake letting him go. I also like Alexsandro from Lille not well-known but is incredibly aerially, 2 footed also strong on the ball - profile wise is a bit like Van Dijk.

Wharton and Bruno or Ederson for CM.

Gonzales, Rodri, Wharton, Bruno (Ederson), O'Reilly and Nunes is a quality group.

Think Wharton will be looked at, Ederson has strong links and Pep loves Bruno. If he became available I could see Bruno being the main target but that’s dependent on him wanting to leave Newcastle. I’d be delighted with Wharton and Ederson.

But personally think we won’t move all the players linked. It wouldn’t surprise me if Bernado and KDB stayed. Kovacic, Gundo and even Nunes are more likely to leave than Bernado in my opinion. KDB I believe the latest reports that he’s happy to stay. I think there would be more leaks about where he’s going if he’d lined up MLS or Saudi.

What about real LB instead of CB who can play in any position

Given that on February 7th he just extended with Paris Saint-Germain until 2029, unlikely.

In principle, I would agree though but think Hato is a much more obtainable option. He and Gvardiol could rotate at centre back or left back and we would then have two young, left-footed players and even more pace.

Guardiola’s comments yesterday were quite revealing. Gave the impression that this season’s events have given us food for thought, and that we’ll only be signing more young players and not taking risks on anyone with fitness issues, no matter their promise. At 25, Marmoush might be the last ‘older’ player we sign for a while.

Well still need more experienced players in my view.

Wouldn’t say no to Bruno G or F De Jong.

Guardiola’s comments yesterday suggest youth and fitness will be key. Both players turn 28 this year and de Jong hasn’t played the full 90 minutes in a league game all season. Good players but now probably outside of our focus.

like they say the best ability is availability

Been banging on a out this since 2015. ;). Young and not injury prone. First 2 things i check for.

Under 25 and has been available for 75% of career games.
Yh then we sign them and they become injury prone in there later years. Ots all a gamble with players injury wise now with the amount of football they are expected to play.
