Was just a young defender making his way, you'd be pushed to pick him as a future star. Heck of spot by Clough to pick him up. Another one who left after a quiet time at city and finished with a European Cup medal (I think) was Frank Carrodus who went to Villa

Yeah, I got pretty good memories of Channon, a long time ago though.He has since become a decent racehorse trainer, and Franny was too, to a lesser extent, infact there might be a few more ex players gone into training. Anyway, I will suggest Savic as a more recent one.
Savic was to be my pick as well.
 
Ian Bowyer , was an average player in a blue shirt and struggled in the Summerbee/Bell/Lee era to get into the team but Clough signed him for Forest and he won titles and european cups and a vital part of their midfield.
 
Glauber Berti. Not sure where he went but I do know he was better there than he was for us.
 
Kazi Deyna signed 2 or 3 years too late into a poor side where his mind was seeing what his team mates weren’t able to
