I've met the goat once. Was kicking a ball around with his two kids and of course I had to go over and get his autograph and tell him what a legend he was :D

My dad being a taxi driver has met quite a few city players before; Shauny, Huckerby, Weaver, Paul Power to name a few...

He also picked up that Alex Nimley (Not going to even attempt to spell his surname), said he was a right arrogant wanker and was going on that Tevez was unhappy that we're not playing Champions League football next season which I presume all our players would've been...

Steve Mackenzie, great lad got my family tickets for the 81 final.
Mike Summerbee, he has loads of time for the fans, nice fella.

Through previous job; Cantona again nice bloke. Kinky, loved our fans. J.Whitley and Michael Brown drunk in Didsbury 1998 ish, not the most pleasant people as i remember.
Met Keith Curle at Neil Warnocks Resignation party at his House in Cornwall of all places! Nice Fella said his best part of his footy life was his time with us.

sounds mint. bet you were chuffed

Glyn Pardoe - top top bloke and used to see him all the time
Niall Quinn - absolute gent and was happy to chat. Spent time talking to my son
Nicky Weaver
Shaun Goater
Gareth Barry - another top gent, plenty of time for fans
Mike Summerbee - like someone else said he's always happy to chat
Paul Lake

Robbie Fowler - opposite of those above - was an absolute tosser

As for non-City I met Graeme Souness a few years back. We'd done a charity thing for the British Heart Foundation and because oh his heart op he was asked to receive the money on behalf of the charity. Totally different to the impression I'd had of him. He was happy to chat to us for ages, expressed a real interest in what we'd done to raise the money. Then started chatting about football, asking us who we supported. Had some banter with me over City and how we hadn't deserved a result against Blackburn where he was at the time. I know loads dislike him but he was a real gent.

during the christmas time liverpool players and everton players visited his ward. anyway my point is that phil neville came in and apparently he was an absolute gentleman. my dad said he was really good with the kids and when my dad told him he was a city fan they had a good chat about football. my opinion of him has certainly changed.

Phil Neville is indeed a decent bloke, unlike his brother who has an ego the size of a planet.

What a great story about Cantona, i really disliked him before reading that, just goes to show that you shouldnt make judgement on someone who i dont even know, what a top bloke. well done.

Have to agree 100% with you Rick. I know we all call opposition tossers at times but to take time out for that poor lad shows he isn't the bastard I thought at all.

Shay Given, absolutely gent and a half, sound out. Spent a boat load of time signing autographs as well. Just sound out.

Roy Keane..surprising a bit of a gent. Great time for the kids that were there.

S Ireland..well, the less said the better.

Met Frank Lampard at the Lowry Hotel a few years back - he was really alright - seemed a pleasant enough guy just bored being in the Lowry again... Met Steven Gerrard at the opening of the Adidas store in Manchester and he was a total twat - didn't want to sign autographs or have his photo taken - so why was he there (Ashley Young was also there and he was great). Finally sat opposite Jamie Redknapp on a train to London a few months ago - what a cock - thick as well.
