Players you have met

My dad knows Willie Donachie and he told me, my dad, my wife and my 5 yr old son to come up to Carrington the following Wednesday. Only turns out it was his 50th !!
I talked to Dickov and said he was the only bloke who's made me cry and not my son !
Talked with Keegan for a while and he shared his Jaffa cakes with us.
Was a bit weird being upstairs with them in their "lounge" area!
Talked to Richard Edghill and Eyal Berkovic too.

I bumped into SWP in mothercare with his mrs and kid told him good luck for the following game and he really appreciated it.

Me and the mrs know Trevor Sinclair and he got us into the players lounge a few times.
Joey Barton though what an arrogant knob.

I was also sat 2 seats from Mark Lillis at FA cup final this year too top fella we were doing the the poznan with him an his son. He went mental like everyone else when we scored !

Was it his son Josh Lillis? Goalkeeper for Rochdale IIRC! Used to be at Scunthorpe 2009/2010

years ago about 1972, city played donny rovers in a pre-season friendly, i think we won 2-0 anyway i waited till the players came out to get some autographs off them, most just got on to the bus and been a down to earth yorkshire lad i went on the bus after them, franny lee said i was a cheeky bugger and i said i wanted some autographs, any way i got most of team b4 joe mercer told me that they had to get off.

My gulity secret is that I've liked Cantona for a while now. Intelligent and kind. I'm glad the story about him was a good one. Shame he never played for us...we'd get him now!

Unfortunately I've met nearly all the current u**ted squad.I had to deliver some plant to their training ground.(My boss at the time, knew I was a blue and sent me there deliberately) Some of them walked past me as if they were too important to speak to someone poor.Others let on and smiled even though I was wearing a City baseball cap,but I just blanked them. The only regret I have now is ignoring Tevez.

if my boss knew i was a city fan and he did that, i would of worn my city shirt and smile and say what part of lancashire is this place in

Met AJ, Micah and SWP out in town one night, a couple of days after the semi. Said a few words to Micah and AJ and both were sound and happy to talk, seemed nice lads. SWP however was a right ****. Blanked most people, one lad asked him for a photo and was told to fuck off.
My mate's little brother goes to school with Barry's son and sees him all the time, so they know each other now and often stand and talk whilst the lads are playing footy or whatever. My mate says he's a true gent, always has time to talk to him and has told him how much he appreciates him not hassling him for an autograph or anything. But he happily signs for all the other lads. So it shocked me a bit when it was leaking about Barry having an injunction. My mate was so shocked and said it was definitely not true, he's a proper family man.

met the goat when i was a kid with my football manager at the time and a couple of team mates at the training ground. we kind of snook in and he was the only one there doing laps of the ground. we asked him if he'd stop for a picture, he stopped for a second and said 'one more lap', he did a lap then came and took pictures (which i had blown up and stook on my wall but somehow lost during a move, gutted!), my football manager then chatted with him for 10/15 mins (even though he was a rag), top guy!

then met him (briefly) again and shook his hand, as many did, at Wembley on cup final day!
