Please don't get Ibra

Cant believe so many city fans dont want to see ibrahimovic at city. What a player he is. lazy at times? yes but he is one of a hanfull of strikers that could walk into any team in the world. I remember only 4 years ago being excited about signing corradi and hamann, now we are linked to players the likes of ibra and fans are annoyed! If we get him then it will send a huge message to other players, and i think although no city fan has any time for him anymore that Robinho might look at staying. Im still a big robbi fan and i have a feelin that bellers might be on his way and robbi might be getting more of a role in mancini's starting 11. I for 1 hope so, i might be the only 1 but i hope he stays. I know this is my first post but i have read your comments for years and even though from shetland have been a massive city fan since i was 10. Keep the quality coming roberto Boateng is just the start of a few quality signings i hope

By the way, I'm not sure if you guys have missed it but Swedish media is reporting today, via sport.as, that Barca has turned down a 35 million euro bid from City for Zlatan.

I heard before thts around 29.2 million and they wont want half of wat they payed for him in total . 40 million would probs do it but he isn't worth it . At 29 and not premiership proven would it be a gamble ?

34 mill for dezeco, now that would be a gamble, 40 mill for Ibra, christ thats nearly a bargain

i would say 37mil the highest and is stretching it.

if 40mil, i'd rather transfer the money from this budget to add leverage to a creative midfielder bid like silva or martinez or anyone who can spray passes impeccably. and buy an affordable but proven finisher like, heaven forbid, darren bent.

at least its a step above RSC.

-- Thu Jun 03, 2010 12:57 am --

wait, 40mil euro in would be 33mil or so. so 45mil euro should be our final bid.

I'm still a Robinho fan and would love for him to come back. Don't get me wrong, some of his performances were infuriating, but some were magical. He scored 14 goals from the wing in his first season amongst the likes of Caicedo and Vassell. Imagine what he'd be like with the likes of Tevez, Johnson et al.

----------------------------- Hart --------------------------

Van Der Wiel -- Boateng -------- Kompany ------ Luiz ---

--------------------------- De Jong ------------------------
------------ Yaya Toure ------------ Martinez -----------

-------- Johnson ---------------------------- Robinho ------
---------------------------- Tevez --------------------------

Even if he's still like he was he'd be perfect as a substitute for me. When you're 2-0 he's ideal for bringing on and improving the goal difference whilst entertaining the fans. Just replace him in the starting line up by buying Silva ;)

I personally would love to see ibra in a sky blue shirt, its like a dream come true. Like others said a couple of years ago we were thinking of players of average levels and would be really excited about them but to look at reality we cant keep the same mentality that we have had few years ago and say hes a dream signing, if we want our squad to change there mentality to a wining mentality we have to change ours first, ibra is a superstar skilled player yes, but would you gamble on him like barca did for approximately 40 or 45 million ? we tried it on robinho ? cant we ever learn ... on the other hand you have another star called dzeko now hes on my personal view earns it as the difference I see between these two players are age and thats all, I rather have a player which lasts atleast 5 6 years who knows? or a player could last two more seaons maybe for a fee of 40 or 45 million. Thats my point of view and I dont know about others

I dont want him at city. Would be a huge failure in the prem IMO similiar to Sheva and Crespo top forwards that do well in Italy usually fall flat on the arse in the prem.

They dont get the time on the ball they need and cant adapt to the physical nature of the game.

Already said he doesnt like the culture or weather in UK he wont get the goals Ade gets in the league I am certain of that.

Dzeko would be a much much better signing, players from the German league dont mind being kicked and can handle the weather and culture over here.

At the end of the day hes seen as a big failure at Barca , he cost 3 times as much as the player he replaced and got half as many goals as Eto got in his final season.

If we sign him will be a flop of Robinho proportions I am certain of that !

Ibrahimavic struggling to adapt to the physical nature... Please don't spout crap out of your arse. He has a black belt in judo and is six foot five. He will not struggle with the physical nature of the prem.

I will say it again. Dzeko's style of play is almost Identical to Ibra's so much so that they think of him as the young ibra. So how on earth you would think that the worse version of Ibra would do better is beyond me.

Ibra won Barca the title...

His goal at camp nou tht won el clasico won the title. This has been said by other journalists not just me..
