Plzen ticketing issue! Not a happy bunny

The variable of us having won 3 games and already being through with a home game still to play.

The club didn't overprice it because you and plenty of other people were more than happy to pay for it.

Would you be this pissed off if it was members of the Armed Forces getting £15 tickets, or is it the fact that it's a group you're part of that's pissing you off so much?
I have no issue with any group getting discounted tickets.
My issue is the way anyblue on the cup scheme who commits to pay is paying nearly double.
The only alternative is to make absolutely everyone else pay £33 for this game and play it in front of thousands of empty seats. What else could they do? I'm amazed they're actually sticking to such a high general sale price, so at least give them some credit for that.

The price you paid was fair when you paid it. They can't factor in the fact that demand for the final game might be exceptionally low, just as they can't factor in the demand being exceptionally high. As I said, that's just the risk you take when buying things in advance; there's no point getting upset by it.
What about another alternative where "loyal fans" are offered tickets for £15 for the final home group game at the start of the season. Without knowing who we play, or if it`s meaningless. [ Cup Scheme ].
If it turns out we play Plezen with nothing on the game. The attendance is the same as it will be next week. 3/4 full with cup schemers, members of GMP + families & friends, virgin empioyees, NHS employees, students and any amature footballer who wants to apply through their FA.
Or it turns out we play Bayern where the winner goes through to the knockout stages. The attendance is FULL with cup schemers paying /sorry already paid £15, and anyone else scrambling for all remaining tickets priced £33 [or more].

If option 1 happens - next years cup scheme remains the same. [ fans willing to pay up front regardless]
If option2 happens - next years cup scheme is increased. [fans not wanting to miss out]

AND NOBODY RIPPED OFF

WARNING. If you come up with any more sensible suggestions like that you will be banned.

Has anyone seen an Invoice from MCFC to GMP for the ACTUAL cost of said tickets ??
If not then I suggest you ask to see a copy or STFU.Just beacause A.N.Other belongs to another organisation, who offer them cheaply to either their Staff or Associates as a "thank you",then who the fuck are we to tell others what to do.
However,if someone should be able to disprove that said tickets are being sold by MCFC at a cost far cheaper than those on the Cup Scheme, thats when MCFC have a mighty big question to answer.
So in a nutshell,WHO HAS SEEN AN INVOICE and if GMP are subsidising part of the cost, then good luck to all those people concerned.

Only if you work for GMP and then you have to be a member of their Sports and Social Club

But we are all being "mugged off"

...and Virgin and NHS and students at the Uni.
I believe someone said Virgin was the last game, the NHS is a new one on me, perhaps that's been sponsored by Mr Rodwell

Uni students won't be up in time to get to the game, so I'm less worried about them

Just fuelling the flames.

The cup scheme is like a season ticket for cup games, the only difference is you can pay double, so where is the incentive.

Dear Manchester City,
I understand that someone may read this board now and then so please take note.
I will not be joining the Champs League farce next season. I will wait for the reduced prices.
Didsbury Dave says I should think of it like a restaurant, Cleavers can't understand why I don't understand. Well I have now got the message loud and clear, if I am loyal I will be ripped off. If I pretend I am not loyal I will save money. Although I will be there, I always am, I will just not tell you in advance.

Yours, B. Mist

That's your choice in a free market, mate.

But you'd better get on a police training course pretty quickly to make it before next season.

ANY member of GMP, civilian or police officer who is a member of the sports and social can apply for tickets (plural) I know someone within GMP so next year I think I will ask them to get me a ticket. I might even start flogging them on here (at face value of course)
I also spoke at length to someone whose brother worked for Virgin at M/cr Airport, he sorted his family out, (6 tickets.) Both are fact. I do not have evidence myself but others state both the NHS and Uni students have been offered them. I believe this is true.

I paid full price. I did not have the choice of cheaper tickets because of my misguided loyalty.
That's great that you know someone with GMP who you say can get you cheaper tickets next year. Of course, given there's no guarantee GMP will actually get cheaper tickets next year it's irrelevant. You'l feel pretty foolish if it's members of the armed forces who get a cheaper deal next year. Probably won't be Virgin with cheaper tickets next year either, maybe it'll be Easyjet? Or some other random company?

As I said last night, I'll be in with a shout if the sell them cheaply to SBHBS.
(That's the short, bald headed beer swillers society)

Wow. So now we have to see an invoice before people will believe it, do you also want me to scan it and put it on here so that everyone can see it is true. Even then someone will say that it is a fake !
I know for a FACT that GMP are selling them for £15. Are you suggesting City are selling them to GMP for more and a public body are taking a loss, that wouldn't sit well with rate payers...hang on, don't tell me, the City are charging full price and the social club are subsidising there members. Yeh right.

Go for it mate. You're one smart cookie. Well ahead of the game.

I will bet you have a contingency plan if we get to the final, too.
