Plzen ticketing issue! Not a happy bunny

Simply anyone who bought at the higher price should have the difference refunded.

I don't buy this supply/demand stuff when it comes to stuff like this, the loyal fans should get the cheapest prices, end of.

Exactly. the club have all our details on-line.

I'm less than happy like the OP I feel my loyalty is being abused.

No CL scheme next season as I've got the points to get to games I want to and wouldn't be doing the final anyway (I wish).

No. It's exactly the same scenario. The restaurant puts the 2 for 1 offer in the paper because it wants new regular customers and it wants bums on seats to generate income that it wouldn't get otherwise. The guys on the next table didn't do anything special, they weren't being rewarded. They just happened to read the paper or magazine that particular day. It's the harsh truth I'm afraid. City don't need to offer you a loss leader, or me, becuase we are regulars. And you decided in advance that you were happy to happy the prices they offered and you prepaid.

It expands the fanbase if it attracts a customer who enjoys it and wants to come back, just like the restaurant guy. Simple stuff.

I'm not saying this is right or wrong, I'm just saying its simple business. Like it or not, you're a customer.
It baffles me that people don't understand it.

Of course the loyal fan feels pissed off, but City know they have most of us by the short and curlies, and while we may whinge a bit, when push comes to shove we'll keep paying, and as a business attracting new custom brings in more money. Some will enjoy it and come back, many won't, but if just a few come back each time, it makes more money, and at £15 some will visit the shop, eat, or drink in the ground, something many of us regulars don't do.

As I said we (loyal long term fans) have a simple enough choice, take it or leave it.

it's shite, get the loyal mugs to sign up to showing loyalty then fuck 'em all off by offering tickets out for next to nowt. #together, what a load of bollox!!

Our club is becoming more like the rags by the week, loyalty means fuck all nowadays we're just a bunch of people they need to get more money off.

I said this to Danny Wilson.

Our problem is we see ourselves as fans / supporters with loyal years behind us.

The club see us as customers to be monetized .

Not slagging City off ....it's how it is....this is the new City who win things.

Good luck to the lads who wish to keep going......sadly I won't be one of them.

Done my bit .ive been going since 1974.,and there's a lot more lads who've been going a lot longer than me who feel the same.

The three lads on my shift who have bought these tickets..havent been to any other games except moscow and plzen...I actually asked them if they planned to do some league games (which are also available at quite a reduced rate) to which the response was no because of cost...not one plans to join the waiting list or buy a season ticket at all because of shifts..cost..yet muggins here and son do because we feel tied to the club through yrs of so called loyalty.
So simply put..if you price it right..fans will come..so why am I paying 28 notes.I'm not angry..I just dont expect the loyal fans who go week in week out to be screwed.
I am going to email Danny wilson tomorrow asking for an explanantion.

I'm sure he'll reply, but don't expect the reply to make you happy. Something along the lines of "lots and lots of empty seats" "might as well fill them if we can" "they'll also buy beer and food" "some might come back" "we have to meet FFP rules" etc etc.

So where are these £15 tickets? - Might treat the old man and uncle to a game!

As I said on page 1...

They'll probably send you a voucher for a free pie.

exactly, if they continue in this vain a lot of the loyal fans who've been there for donkeys years will stop going, where does this leave the club? the plastics aren't going to buy a ST at the same rate the loyal fans walk away, they'll lose 10 loyal customers and guaranteed revenue to every one plastic who buys a ST then packs it in when the novelty wears off. As far as I'm concerned its bad business sense to marginalize your core customers for the sake of a few fly-by-nights who probably won't hang around.

I've set myself a 5% rise in season tickets for next season and if it's any higher I'm packing it in and I've been a ST holder for 30 of the last 36 years. They're taking the piss along with all the other clubs in the PL, we're paying far too much to attend games and imo the game is going to disappear up its own arse and most clubs will end up playing in front of half empty stadiums which will have a knock on effect in television interest and the corporate side.

It'd have to be 2, for both tickets I bought at the more expensive price. If so I'd welcome the discount....
