The States is one fucked up place. 60 shots in a man. How many shots were fired and missed.
I don't disagree per se.The States is one fucked up place. 60 shots in a man. How many shots were fired and missed.
"the suspect seemed to have fired his gun at the police when in his car"I don't disagree per se.
The suspect, while unarmed at the time of shooting, allegedly discharged a gun from his car while fleeing police. A gun was later recovered from his car post mortem. And video is corroborative: the suspect seems to have fired a gun at police while fleeing in his car.
As for 60 police shots fired...
Apparently one or more officers thought that the suspect was reaching for a gun. So one or more initially shot. 8 officers on scene. And your fellow officer is discharging a weapon upon a fleeing suspect who previously shot at you? Yeah, I think all 8 officers are going to shoot.
I haven't watched video about the shooting - but prima facie, this does not seem to be another Derek Chauvin incident at all. From time-to-time, police will shoot unarmed individuals.
On the other hand, evidence in the form of full disclosure of video, might well prove that this shooting was entirely without justification, except that the suspect seems to have fired his gun at police when in his car.
You're talking Americans in uniform, so at least another 500 and possibly a missile. The States is one fucked up place. 60 shots in a man. How many shots were fired and missed.
Geez, find another way, man...
The common theme in these videos is the guy being quizzed by police is always arguing and raising his voice, this gives them the opportunity to jump all over him.
Not saying it is right but the guy got agitated to fuck quite quickly, though his panic after they grab him is not very nice to hear.
I wasn't disagreeing with you but if it was me I would move straight to the terror part and not argue with them at all, some of them are looking for an excuse to do something. It seems that the same cop dept let him perform for the last five years, so he'd be right to think wtf is happening.
I, daresay, there's also the fact he factoring in death-by-police in his reaction, being an unarmed Black man.
Plenty of reason to think that way, of late, non?

Arguing and being a little aggressive is all it might take.
Horrible really and yes if the guy has been there for 5 years then it is unjust to try and move him on/shut him down and arrest him.
The other thing of note is the black police officers never seem to mediate at all.
Prevalence of white supremacists in law enforcement demands drastic change
A Reuters investigation on May 6 indicates that a significant number of U.S. police instructors have ties to a constellation of armed right-wing militias and white supremacist hate groups, a report that adds to a fast-growing body of evidence showing a deadly threat inside U.S. police departments.www.reuters.com
Silence is deafening from both parties.
