Western Australia is an enormous expanse of nothingness. You may as well retire and buy a fishing rod for all the policing that is required. (Mobile drunk tank patrols on pay day)

It's not in cities like Perth where they need British cops, it's remote places like Broome, Port Hedland, Exmouth...Geraldton etc...where they can't fill the posts.

Don't think the locals would take too kindly to a pom police chief in there remote town.

Actually sounds like a fantastic idea for a comedy.
