Watching that second video the male copper takes 10 blows to the head! The first lad is a unit as well, he’s lucky he wasn’t knocked out, he only backs off once the taser is drawn, the little shit in the blue who was the original one getting arrested then comes from behind and lands about 4/5 blows before been subdued, I reckon that coppers head was swimming by that point, he can claim concussion hopefully and sent on medical leave until it all dies down and those two are locked up for a long time. Also take their passports and never let them fly again if they caused problems on an aircraft they are a flight risks.

Well now Andy B has confirmed it started on the flight and carried on through to arrivals only half the story is known

I imagine they’ll be going down for a long time for assaulting the police, and rightly so. It’s a pretty shocking attack. Don’t think it really absolves the officer who kicked and stamped on one of the perpetrators either though. Whilst it perhaps makes it more understandable why he reacted in that way, he’ll presumably still have to face the consequences for his actions.

The lads mum was racially abused on the flight apparently. Then the same guy rammed a trolly into her at the Luggage carousel. She told her sons and all hell broke loose.

I honestly do not know how you handle violent people without being violent yourself. A police force full of the empathetic would just be walked right over.

The minimum sentence for assaulting a police officer would be a low-level community order, while the maximum sentence is two years' imprisonment. You could receive a more serious sentence if you are convicted of an additional offence, such as actual bodily harm or grievous bodily harm

And again, for common assault on anyone.
Common assault carries a maximum penalty of six months in prison and/or a fine or community order. A prison sentence is generally reserved for cases where serious injury was caused, and higher culpability is present.

I think if any assault on police officers, firemen, ambulance, doctors, nurses etc was dealt with severely. i.e 10 x those for 'normal' people then perhaps the police and the public can be reasonably certain that the public servants have reasonable protection and that our 'duty of care' to them does actually exist.
