Policing in the UK

From the clip I saw last night, it was a fast moving incident and I don't think the policeman had any other choice than to shoot him. I'm pretty sure that it was never his intention to kill him but to disable him or the car as he was a clear danger to the coppers who were there with his dangerous driving. His family will understandably be devastated but this isn't a race issue. If a white bloke was doing what Chris Kaba was doing then he'd have been shot too. This isn't a Stephen Lawrence type issue where the Met were guilty of institutional racism and rightly criticised for that. It was a policeman doing his job which resulted in a tragic but ultimately accidental death.
Wouldn’t say it was too tragic considering his history that’s just been released.

"Kaba was said to be part of a south London rap group called 67. Several members have convictions or alleged links to drugs and violence. Police and prosecutors said 67 was a gang based in the Brixton Hill area.

Opening the Hackney shooting case, the prosecutor Karim Khalil KC said: “Chris Kaba pulled a handgun out of a bag which had been smuggled into the club … Chris Kaba shot him [the victim] in the upper part of his left leg. The bullet went straight through his leg.”

The victim, from the rival 17 gang, was chased and “Kaba shot at him again, several times. This time a bullet went through the upper part of his right leg,” the court heard.

Kaba was first convicted of a crime aged 13 and served spells in prison, the last ending in April 2022.

In 2017, he was shot in a gang feud, in 2019, he was convicted of having an imitation firearm, and in mid-September 2022, he faced a hearing to decide if he deserved a gang prevention order. He was alleged to be a gang lieutenant whose street name was Itch."

Mental stuff, rap groups called 67 and 17 gang?
Street name of Itch?
Gang lieutenant?

What the fuck? Proper weird life

So who, I ask, was responsible for bringing about the accusation of murder when aware of all the facts.
And why did the system allow that, and all the associated costs of that, run its course at public expense?
Never mind, he was a lovely family man just trying to scratch a living.
His family should be standing there condemning his past and apologising to all those impacted by his criminal activities in front of the cameras.

The CPS brought the charge I believe. Clearly wrongly. But no-one will have to answer questions it will all be swept under the carpet no doubt.

Do gooders who think accusing the police of being murderers and racists regardless is the right / woke thing to do.

Always good when the full facts come out so that we can now disregard his family's statement outside court yesterday. Thank goodness the jury came to the right decision.
The officers were aware of who they were dealing with and would have acted appropriately, it's a scandal that the jury aren't made aware of this as it would definitely of affected police response.

These people live in a different world. It runs parallel to ours but is totally alien to it.

It's quite funny that they totally disregard all the rules that the majority of society follow, the rules that mainly allow us to live decently and safely, but the first time one of them is hurt or killed those rules they ignore suddenly become very important.

It's time the government went all out to smash every one of these gangs. They spent enough time and resources years ago doing similar to football firms, get these scumbags out of the society they show utter contempt for.
