Political relations between UK-EU

Is that like when people say the USSR was Communist and it wasn't

Or is that against the rules
Initially it was, before the whole Stalin rise to power/cult of personality thing. It was Communist for a whole 15 minutes, in reality.

Oh - I do - you do me a disservice there - I absolutely do.

But - I give more of a shit about the much more serious negative consequences for everyone had we not left.
Well I’ll take your word for that and you’d represent that compassionate side of yours more if you restrained yourself from belittling posts that suggest there are some short term losers from Brexit

We were ALL told the affects would be instant, day one, total chaos. We're one week in and nothing has happened. No economic crash, no pound devalued to less than its competitors. I'm more concerned about the fact the Spam is going to spoil due to it no longer being required. Anyone know the shelf life of 2,000 tins of Spam?
I've got a few pallets of spam that are no longer needed too. I'm not seeing many stock reduction options; this is the best I've found as yet.

I've found a weird correlation which I'm struggling to understand. I run quite a big Facebook group and arguments keep breaking out between members about the vaccine and its administration. Probably like in real life, a significant minority are adamant that they will not take the vaccine. However, there hasn't been a single exception to this and I'm not sure why: when I click on their profiles every single one of the anti-vaccine people have a timeline full of pro-Brexit and anti-EU messages. Quite a few are pro-Trump and/or pro-Johnson, but the only issue that unites them all is Brexit. Does anyone have an idea why this is? The two things are totally unrelated.

Latest news brought to you by man who ‘reads stuff’.

Scottish fishermen are being told to catch less fish, due to delays created by Brexit red tape’ @Bloomberg

We’re now advising the catching sector to ease up,” said Jimmy Buchan, chief executive of the Scottish Seafood Association. Trucks carrying fish are facing four-hour waits to be cleared for onward transport and “we can’t guarantee we’ll get it into the marketplace,” he said.‘

Obvious to anyone said @mcfc1632 when asked to comment. Now that we are sovereign we can take the decision to catch less fish and sit in a customs queue, it really is one of the advantages of not being tied to EU rules.”

Proof - more fish - 7 days in and the fishing industry finds out that what they were promised and what they have got are polar opposites - suits Johnson though as this will be handy when he needs a diversion to claim the EU post Brexit aren't sticking to the "spirit" of the rules when in fact they are just sticking to the rules as was pointed out all along

Independent spirit? Not wanting or welcoming anyone telling them what to do?
"What do all these so called scientists know with their fancy Dan professorships and doctorates and years of experience?"
There's a bloke on Facebook who knows a guy who is the neighbour of a woman who is a cousin of a guy who empties the bins for a professor and this guy says it's all bollocks.

when you've been suckered into one cause you may have an underlying susceptibility or belief in and fed a load of propaganda and manipulated narrative about it but it strengthens and re-inforces your view, and you feel part of a cause at the same time, then you're much more likely to fall prey to similar situations particularly if they're within the same social circles. It's the same with the left wing university types who may start with a passionate belief to help the world and find for equality and climate change and then get roped into a bunch of unsavoury ideologies and viewpoints. It's just social media grooming on either side.

UN's definition of racial discrimination, numbfuckinnuts.

any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin which has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life.[22]
You never given any Scousers shit before?

It’s not a weird correlation. All the world’s idiots frequent Facebook and Twitter, you’re more likely to come across some on there than in the real world.
