Waiting times regressed during the last decade due to underfunding. You want something that works. Fund it properly. After all it’s why a lot of people voted for Brexit wasn’t it? Who didn’t want that £350m a week going to the NHS?

Shame it never materialised.

You’re not allowed to talk about what was said or should have been said in 2016, the gang on here don’t like it as it’s irrelevant apparently. Our mate from Didsbury will be along soon to police you.

But anyway, I’ll answer your question, the point of Brexit should really be if you’re happy to concede an economic hit and issues with trade for more powers being returned from Brussels to the UK and to leave the political union . That’s the fundamental question around Brexit.

I don’t think it was worth it, personally.

The Scots will have a similar question to answer soon, do they want all the power to be in Scotland for a hit to their economy and trade with England.

I just hope it’s phrased as that this time.

What do you expect?

We can say with some certainty that the economy will be/is being adversely affected by Brexit and that we are likely to fall further behind our European neighbours such as France and Germany.

Indeed our very own esteemed Govt thought it unnecessary to carry our an impact assessment on their own deal.

We have thousands of people relying on foodbanks, a crumbling NHS, industries on their knees and from April next year record levels of taxation.

The fucking unicorns will be along shortly.

Oh and the rich are getting richer! As is usually the case in our wonderful country.

For most of this year the UK economy has grown quicker than the Eurozone hasn’t it?

Happy to be proven wrong but I think I read that a couple of months ago.

The FT is predicting the economy to do alright in the end of this year.

No doubt it’d be better without Brexit but it’s hardly a terrible position considering Covid.

Of course the economy will grow. This country took a much bigger hit than every competitor country so it’s bound to grow. The real question is whether growth would have been better if we had remained and the answer is bleeding obvious.

If the stock market is used as a barometer of the economy, ours is the only major one still well below its pre pandemic value. Wonder why that is?

That’s like Trump boasting about jobs growth after the first wave of the pandemic. They were hit hardest so the recovery was more extreme.

As for the “No doubt it would be better without Brexit” comment, that’s all everyone is saying and it seems you agree.

I’m guessing your argument will boil down to a minor point from 5 years ago again at this rate.

The effects of Brexit are only just starting. Give it time.

Nobody is saying the economy will be destroyed.

Just for your reference, you come across as annoyingly supercilious, telling posters to calm down will only make people want to tell you to fuck off. Not that I would do such a thing of course.
