From Cummings blog last year and sums it all up really.

”It wasn't until October 2020 that he finally understood even vaguely
what leaving the Customs Union meant. I will never forget the look on
his face when, after listening to Frost in a phones-out meeting on the
final stage of the negotiation, he said, 'No no no Frosty, fuck this,
what happens with a deal?' And Frost looked up from his paper and
said, 'PM, this is what happens with a deal, that's what leaving the
Customs Union means.' The PM's face was priceless. He sat back in
his chair and looked around the room with appalled disbelief and
shook his head. Horrified officials' phones pinged around the Cabinet
table. One very senior official texted me, 'Now I realise how you
managed to get Brexit done’”.

That's why I left him off my list. I think he was possibly the only person behind the Vote Leave campaign who did understand what it meant. But he didn't care: his only driver in life is " to smash things up", as he's admitted himself. That and to advance his own career.

He has more of the country's blood on his hands than anyone else apart from arguably Johnson.

Two cheeks of the same arse, with the big steaming turd of brexit squeezed out from between them.

You could also see it as vote circus (Brexit) and then get a load of clowns to make a balls of delivering it.
Brexit was always going to be a pointless exercise in self-harm, but I doubt any set of negotiators could have brought a deal worse than the one Johnson and his cronies celebrate.

and we won't be involved in this. Why? Because we are not a member - thats the influence Brexit buys you.....may be able to blag a bit of info off someone who attends

Honestly, it makes me want to slap 16 million custard pies into 16 million gormless faces. Hard.

Johnson, Farage, Banks, Rees Mogg, Duncan Smith, Martin...None of these people had any understanding of the Brexit they promoted in 2016. None of them have any understanding of it even now.
Looking now, they didn’t have to as the majority were only playing to political influence.

Except they did. A regulation bonfire and economic and legal regime overly friendly to labour exploitation, wankers in finance and tax evaders is precisely the kind of environment that bunch of crooks wanted to create.

It’s the majority of morons that voted against their better interests that didn't know what Brexit was really about.

Been thinking about this. The world is clearly splitting into blocks. A new balance of power is forming. Russia, China, N Korea will form a bigger, more powerful alliance which will stand up against the USA who will always look after themselves. Just at a time when we in the UK need to be part of something bigger, to defend our interests on the worlds stage, we have cut ourselves adrift.

I wonder why the russians thought that was a good idea.

Exactly what Putin wanted and influenced.
