Positions we need strengthening

OK we 've got cash and we want some fresh blood - BUT - every one we get in unbalances the side yet again.Our problems is we have a reasonable side , some under performing players and no real idea what our 1st and 2 nd start options should be. We've got to get some balance , sub more critically and be prepared to persist with a style, or some simple variation. Not changing squad every week or so.

In Hughes press conference today he indicated that there were positions in the team that need strengthening and if they became available in January then they would make a move for them although he suggested that it would more likely be summer when they became available.
What positions do you think he has in mind?
I'll take a stab and suggest the following:
Right back obviously. Neither Richards or Zab look the answer
Right wing - Although SWP does great work he loses possession a lot, gives the ball away and the qulaity of his passing and crossing is not good enough.
Box to box midfielder - there are plenty of candidates, Superman, Johnson etc but I dont think Hughes believes they are consistant enough or good enough.
Striker - someone who plays directly off the main man.
Thats my opinion but I might be wrong. What do you think?
