Positives From Our Blackest Night In Beswick

loved his Kroos crusher challenge

That was very good. I felt sore just watching it, can imagine Kroos asking for the licence plate of the bus that hit him.

Bayern Munich did to us last night what we did to U****d the other Sunday.................

Simply a far better football team and been together longer and are the Euro Champs after all. The best I hoped for over the 2 games against Bayern would be a sneaky point. I think we will still qualify which is the most important thing.

I've been and seen worse; in fact, I'm more pissed off about losing at Villa than last night.

No way is this the ' blackest night ' - positives -

They are the best team in Europe - probably - and therefore, one of the best in the World
Yes - we were taught a lesson but can learn
2 goals were mistakes by Joe - but I WOULDN'T want another 'keeper - had he saved them, who knows ??
The Beast and Merlin's performances
Yaya unlucky with his free kick which hit the bar...............but then again, they hit the post.....
No injuries - as far as I know

Good post though, OP..................

glad i didnt decide to pay the £48 at the last minute and go to the game , but looking forward to everton game , because if our playesr have any pride they will murder the scousers.

Pissed wih our managers performance. However, I'm pleased that we applauded the Byern players off.
They were fecking awesome and it takes a bit of class for fans to accept when the other team have been great.

Only positives I could think of were Silva. And how shit United must be.

There was clearly a lot of confusion over the pre-match instructions. Were we supposed to hold the blue plastic sheet vertically with the non-printed side facing the pitch or hold it horizontally? No wonder the team were confused!

From my vantage point in the South Stand, it was clear after a few minutes that we were overrun in midfield. Super sub should have come off at half-time and Milner should have replaced him.

Positives? At least we only have to face them one more time this season but to be honest it was brilliant to see such a fabulous side live and their fans were just as entertaining.

We gave ManUre a lesson, Pep and his team gave us a masterclass and showed how far we still have to go.

Time to thrash Everton.

To put things in perspective, five years ago we were light years away from even qualifying for the Champions League, last night showed we were light years away from even reaching a semi final. However let us hope we can learn from games like this. When Bayern pressed they did so as a team with every man doing his job, when we did it we did it as an individual with everyone else watching. Worringly though what were Micah and Jesus doing for their first goal, what was Clichy doing for the second? We had a 11 international on the pitch but as a team we are a long way behing Bayern. That said most teams are a ong way behind them. Great to see Silva back and Negredo showed that he surely should be in front of Dzeko in the pecking order. Not sure how many more chances Edin needs but I would guess he is currently skating on thin ice. Micah & Gael are a long way from fitness and I think it was a mistake not to play Zabba and even Kolarov. Milner should have started and we should have played a 4 - 5 -1 system. Oh well a draw and a win against Moscow as a minimum requirement should see us qualify
