It was pretty awful but not our Blackest Night in Beswick. We got a spanking from the best team in the world. In fact I think that was the best team I've ever seen. Might be a bit O.T.T. but I've been watching City for nearly 40 years and I cant think of a team that would have lived with Bayern last night.

We can get over it.

I'd have to agree with you .....

Bayern have matured into an exceptional side , some of their football and movement last night was truly staggering ... brilliant one touch football made to look easy by great players who knew exactly what to do , and aided all the way by a completely focused manager on the touchline ...... Ribery , Robben and Dante are fantastic players , and the workrate of their entire side had to be seen to be believed.

For 70-75 minutes last night we struggled to even get near the ball , although we hardly helped ourselves when we did manage to get it , by conceding possession easily again ....

the way they closed us down , their workrate ... both first class

We won't meet a better side than that ...... they were , without any doubt , THE best visiting side i've seen play on our ground in my 44 years of watching City.

Bang on the money mate, without doubt the best team i've ever seen play against us in over 35 years of watching.

Sure mistakes were made by the players and management but we should now aspire to be like that and last night shows that even though we're a very good side we're a long way still from being a great side.

Positives

I was fairly tipsy at the match so because I'm a happy drunk it didn't feel so bad

Sometimes it takes this sort of walloping to refocus minds,

On a plus note our under 19s beat bay earns 6-0,

-- Thu Oct 03, 2013 2:17 pm --

Sometimes it takes this sort of walloping to refocus minds,

We should get through to next round if quality shown by cska and plzen is anything similar to that shown by both in yesterday's match.
David silva is back.
We might stick an extra player in midfield next time we play bayern.
Cliché might not fall asleep x3 in a row.
Negrado will be more up to speed and let dzeko have a night off.
Zab canpartner up with Jesus Rather than Micah playing with little games behind him.
Pants may be no1 or Joe back to his best.
Utd are still cack.
We are still in champions league.
Bayern cannot get much better can they!
Boating is still an accident waiting to happen.
I couldn't make last night so not cost me for watching us dismantled so easily.
We got beat by a good team rather than an inferior one.

The return of Silva and Negrado's stunning goal. Nothing else to take from last night unfortunately.

The biggest positive is that the way Bayern played is the vision Txiki and Soriano have for our club. They nearly got Pep in the summer, I sincerely hope they secure his next move being to us.

Without doubt Bayern are the best team I have seen in the flesh, by some distance.

I actually thought Dortmund last season, as a one-off at our place were a little better, played quicker, with more intensity and were unlucky not to beat us by 5, 6 or even 7.

Bayern were miles better when not in possession though. Incredible energy levels shown.
