Possible moving of EL3 Fans

I understand that it would be good to get the singing section together, but for me, the reason that they are the singing stands is because the away fans are in the middle and its the banter that keeps everyone singing.

The banter would dissapear if they moved the away fans and make for a worse atmosphere in my opinion.

at least you are all getting pre warned and "consulted" about the move

a couple of years ago I and a few thousand others were just upped and moved without warning from the North Stand Level 1 when the club decided (wrongly as it has transpired) to make the whole of that end a Family stand

So you would think the club would think twice about pissing off another couple of thousand fans then wouldn't you?

I'm in 306 and I didn't get any leaflet/letter regarding the possibility of being relocated.
I will be pissed off it it happens without us getting first dibs at any free seats. I moved up there from EL2 because of the £200 price increase that was being implemented and I'm going to be even more pissed off if I'm told to move to an end. I moved away from there five years ago.

It wasn't done by the club, it was printed out by one of the guys who sits near me in 305 highlighting the possibility of being moved out of their permanently.

I sit on the halfway line in 305 and have done here since we moved and also in the Kippax for a number of years (had a season ticket since 85).

I'll be really pissed off if we have to move giving up some of the best seats in the ground to away fans especially because we won't be able to get equivalent seats anywhere else. I'll certainly be going along to POB to air my views.
I think the atmosphere is better when a decent number of away fans are present and close by. Are you seriously telling me that we would get more points if they were up in EL3? Don't we think we have enough quality now to cope?

Tonster, that was the question I was asking in my OP. Whoever the fan was in 305 that thought of the flyer, it would have more mileage if there was an petition of some sort. No matter how strong the feelings of the pro-One Enders, or the feedback from the the recent survey, the Club would surely listen if they were presented with a firm 'against' from incumbent SC holders.

Can't the EL3 season ticket holders just move to Colin Bell Level 3?

Great move by the club btw.

Why can't they move the Away Fans to CB3 ? I think you will find that the equivalent good seats on the half way line will already be taken over there.

As I sit in 304 I would not be affected by this, but personally I wouldn't really want to move unless I was offered an equivalent or better seat. Also, I don't really see how they can fill half of EL3 with away fans. They usually only occupy the lower tier of the south stand anyway. You would effectively only ever sell out the whole of the EL3 when we play a club with HUGE travelling support.

I think the away fans need to be close to the singing sections, otherwise the banter will be lost.

As an EL3 supporter in 306 who doesn't like sitting behind the goals, hence paying more for my 12 year old than be forced to move 2 years ago, what decent seats, if any, would be left for us to choose from?
I guess it's inevitable, whether its the right or wrong decision, that once the club decide to do it, it will happen. Look at the family stand that hasn't been full once since its' inception.
A petition is a must to try and prevent yet another misguided decision.
No other ground of a big club in the Premier league has the away fans opposite the cameras. (Wolves isn't a big club).
Arsenal is like the Etihad at present and most other grounds are in the corner on the same side as the cameras, why is that unacceptable at City?

i think they should trial it at a few league games before they decide. i sit in 302 so it wouldnt bother me either way.

The Sheikh sits in Colin Bell level 2. You can't have the away fans throwing pies at his head.

I disagree.

It'll likely be some City fans, some away fans up there.

i sit at the front of 306 right on the half way line as it was the best available seat for my requirements (i want a good view at home, not fussed for the atmosphere) so would not be happy to move for away fans

i dont understand why the club dont move the away fans to corner of the south and colin bell stand.you get your bank of city fans behind the goal and keep the banter with the away fans while causing minimal disruption to fans as if they have to move, their view wont be too different

where i sit, the majority of south standers arent arsed about the away fans being there, and we usually sing pro city songs not like '' have you ever seen your dick '' we seem to hear from the corner. untill we've expanded the ground, leave it as it is. then maybe move the 3 standing blocks along, leaving 3 more blocks for relocates or more season ticket holders.

Totally agree with this.
