Scaring Europe to Death said:Firstly if we want to really play the Barca way, then we need footballing defenders.. Currently we have an assortment of popular, but technically limited players, all of them capable of needless lunges and ridiculous yellow cards.
We also need to pass the ball with speed and always with full confidence that it's going to be controlled. We need to keep our defensive shape and stop making silly individual errors.
When things are going wrong we need players who lead by example. Silva in particular goes into his shell and starts to play within himself, particularly in the big european games.
We also need more technical intelligence. Even out best player Aguero often tries too hard rather than waiting for the right opportunity.
Meanwhile it's mid February and our Manager is still rotating three or four players every game.
That's one of my biggest concerns over Pellegrini long term.
He rotates far too much for a start, it's almost as if he is scared of not keeping the entire squad happy when in reality it's coating us because we have no consistency from game to game.
