Mourinho out!

Sorry for spoiling that result for whoever doesn't know, but it fucking happens.

Of course it does. But today wasn't a one-off - we've been struggling for weeks, were atrocious last weekend, and even worse this afternoon.

This was no unlucky defeat - in the second half, we were absolutely pummelled. Had it finished 4 or 5 nil, we'd have had no room for complaint. And that is seriously fucking worrying.

Even in the first half, for all the decent build up play, we barely created a clear cut chance and were restricted to shots from 20-25 yards.

Bad day for Pellers, and serious questions to be asked of the mentalities of the players.

Sorry but the decision to go to Abu Dhabi mid season was a terrible decision. Arriving back hours before a cup game is not good planning.
Sadly this was entirely all so predictable.

They ripped our shit defence yes. But Lampard hit the post and 3 stonewall penos?

3 stonewall pens LOL, 1 maybe!
You are an idiot if that's what you think.

Kolarov handball - stonewall.

Aguero grappled from behind - stonewall

Kolarov take down - difficult due to the way they fell but stone fucking wall.

Kolarov handball maybe, the others are not stonewall, in fact I thought Kolarov did well not to get a yellow for diving.

Pop over to the agenda thread where you'll find friends crying about refs.

First goal was key just like the other poor results at home. The attempts of at least three players to make a tackle illustrated no desire which is a worry. The way we are being asked to play without both Yaya and nasri puts too much pressure on Silva and Sergio - noticeable that in the last two games both were pressed and marked by more than one player - begs the question who is making use of the space that this leaves? Answer no-one Kolarov, Milner and Navas were all poor when having time and space to make a telling pass. This is a big problem and needs sorting out very soon, it says a great deal when a 36 year old is the only player capable of using the pockets of space. Don't wish to seem unrealistic but the squad is painfully thin considering how much our so called fringe players cost. Love Manuel but surely it would have been better to give a younger player a go at least then there would be an excuse for the shambles today. Boro could and should have scored four to our one (missed pen decision)

No excuses but Chelsea, Spurs and Soton all lost at home today on what was a crazy day in the Cup. I've been thinking all week we'd lose today and beat Chelsea next week. Too early to call for Pelle's head or to write off this season but there are a lot of signs for concern. Lack of goals, defensively all over the place, squad depth appearing weaker than each of the last three seasons. Jury still out on Caballero, Fernando, Jovetic, Sagna.

RIP = OUR SEASON since WBA we have coasted and its been coming terrible the biggest disappointment is that our signings have been shit
